One observation - Iggy has a hard time making plays at full speed and always wants to slow the play down. Still got a hell of a shot but has lost a step.
Blowing a lead like that on the road is not good. One step forward, one step back. Not sure what the answer is but the diagnosis isn't good.

I hope Feaster has a back up plan in the event their RFA signing was matched. Because something needs to be done....still.
Good on him though for trying.

That's a great way to put it. Seems any optimism they build up ends up blowing up in our faces. Truthfully I was expecting a loss in the 2nd period, the tides were turning and you could see the wheels falling off.
The game to game losses don't even bother me anymore. I'm more interested in the overall strategy of the franchise now. How is this team going to become a contender again? They have a lot of work to do.

Bork was awesome under Keenan. His PK was 4th overall in 08/09. Mike Keenan caught the majority of the crap on this board for nearly 2 seasons, but he's a top 5 all-time coach in terms of wins. I don't know how he did it, but Phaneuf was a 60 point player when he was coach. At least Hartley is increasing Bouw's trade value.
C'mon, we didn't get O'reilly. Top 5 is still realistic!

It would be nice if Tanguay could connect on 80% of his passes instead of his current 40%.

i'd be upset about a loss like this if this team hadn't sucked away any emotion i've had for the Flames over the past few years

Maybe Keenan used to beat him with a stick after the games?
Problem with Sutter is that no matter how crappy Bork played he never missed a shift or his pp ice time.
Hopefully hartley wakes up and punishes putrid play.

I find I'm finally immune to the Flames. I can't even get up the energy to get angry. I just flick the channel to watch a little Rubio.

What record do the Flames have to have now to realistically make the playoffs?

Iggy played great for the first half of the game, but he put his feet up on the bar with the rest of the forwards for the 2nd half. Considering he is the captain that is not good.

I'd actually rather be a CBJ fan atm. That might be my disappointment about not getting ROR too though.
