Pretty damn good since we play in the weakest division in the league. I'd say 85%

If my mental math is right (reading sportsclubstats), up 4.7% to 23%

Sweet

I really could care less how 2pts were obtained

At the end of the day 4/4 for the weekend 50 or 70 mill payroll dont matter its all about the results not how you got there

Nice to see the boys pull out a gutsy win. Keep it going until Backlund and Kipper get back.

When they scored the go ahead goal, the Yotes feed was hilarious lol. Back to back wins, hope they can string some more together.

What happened to Cervenka? He played less than 3 minutes, & on the 4th line to boot! Did I miss an injury or is Hartley sheltering him?

Cant believe they pulled it off. What a win, glad to see the Coyotes slash and whack their way to a loss with their oversized goaltender.

Hartley is likely sheltering him, Pat Steinberg mentioned that they are concerned with his conditioning as well. But he played Centre last night and I think that is a move they want to make once he is more comfortable, and can speak better english.

Unfortunately, it drags down Hudler and Baertschi.

Sorry, not much has been mentioned about it, but are the Flames concerned with his conditioning in a Kyle Wellwood way? Or is it more concern about potential lingering side effects of that the blood clot issue? Just curious as I think Roman brings a lot to the team and he really has the ability to be a nice secondary threat for the Flames in the stretch run.

Assuming that LA, Minnesota, Dallas and SJ loss all their games in hand.

Well the blood clot issue and conditioning are not related medically. However I imagine he was told to rest and do nothing for the time that he was on Warfarin which was at least a month essentially so I imagine its hard to get yourself back into game shape etc especially in a condensed season. I really think he should be in the line with Hudler and Baertchi eventually. Comeau has 0 business being on that line.

I think it has less to do with conditioning and more to do with Cervenka looking like a bag of crap lately. He looks completely lost if he doesn't have the puck and he hasn't stopped on a puck in two weeks.

Guy needs to engage every single shift, which he doesn't do. When he and Hudler play together, if he's not battling 100%, that line gets dominated in it's own zone. It's too small of a line if the compete level isn't there.

I'm prety sure Cevrenka is hurt from that puck to the throat he took 3 games ago. He has barely seen the ice since then.

Not to keep you around and drag the positivity down but why do you bother? Honesty? If a lot of posters feel a certain way about your approach does that make a ton of people wrong?

Yes, you are allowed to have an opinion. Yes, you don't have to accept mediocrity. The Flames have sucked for a long time & that's not new news to most here. It's a sport and people like to feel good after a win. Is it so wrong?

Awaits Moons "I didn't say this" "find me an exact quote blah blah blah". I'm just glad watching a bunch of grown men do their job doesn't seem to affect me in the same way as you lol

If Calgary, wins their two games in regulation or OT, they would be ahead of Dallas and Minnesota, no matter what.

Dallas could win their game to be tied with Calgary in record, and tied in ROW, but Calgary would take the season series tiebreaker.

Minnesota must lose to Calgary to make the scenario possible - as we already said that Calgary would win that game. The best possible scenario after that has Minnesota tied again in record, but they would lose the ROW tiebreaker to Calgary.

San Jose has the same two games in hand, and would have to go 1-0-1 or 2-0 in those two games to be ahead of Calgary after 19 games. 1-1-0 and they also lose the ROW tiebreaker to Calgary.

LA has three games to get to 19 games played. A 1-1-1 record in those three games gives them exactly the same record as Calgary, but again, they would lose the ROW tiebreaker to Calgary. LA would have to go 2-1-0 or better to be ahead of Calgary's 19 game pace.

In my original post, i used the words "very likely" which maybe is a bit too strong, but it certainly is possible.

Either way, if the Flames happen to win their next two games in Regulation or OT, they will have AT LEAST the 7th best record in the conference through 19 games, and could be as high as 5th best.

Calgary is the only western conference team without a shootout win, which means that, at this point, we win a lot of tiebreakers.

I think he will adjust as time goes on, he has looked real good at times. And I agree at other times looks weak. He will get better I have faith.
