While I get your point, Jay's point about this being a high profile piece published by SI, and therefore a piece that would have had extensive vetting done, still stands. I can't see SI publishing something like that without significant support, they'd be opening themselves up to a ton of liability and the damage to their reputation if this was proven to be fabricated would be crippling. SI isn't betting their future on a hit piece about OSU football.

I wouldn't be surprised that if the NCAA did its job and enforced and properly investigated potential violations, that we would see all national championships since USC won in 04 be vacated.

Hmm, that seems like quite the arbitrary line to draw. USC is no less complicit than anyone else.
I think you'd have to go back many years before that.

Well everyone cheated in the 80's. I don't think it's an institutional problem anymore, but rather the inability to control boosters/agents/entourages. Hopefully, they can figure it out, but they (NCAA) don't seem that concerned about it.
