That GB-Sf is a very intriguing game. Will the bogus TD call hurt GB playing in SF? Will the Kaepernick decision hurt or help SF?
That is by far the most interesting game in a weekend where both AFC games should be blowouts and the Atlanta game should be an upset that nobody thinks is an actual upset.

Speaking of SF-GB, we may be in for an encore of last weekends horrible field debacle. This is ridiculously ugly considering its freakin California.

Wasn't Candlestick a mess during the NFC Championship game last year, too?

Do owners of grass field don't care about maintenance once January comes around?

Green Bay plays in the coldest outdoor climate and never has issues with their field. Denver is similar. Maybe give their maintenance crew a call? It's also ridiculous that the NFL claims about player safety when guys are playing on fields that are torn knee ligaments waiting to happen. There should be a universal standard that needs to be set here.

A bit but it was raining the entire game last year. I have no idea why there would be an issue this year. They don't even practice on the field - this picture was taken as part of the kicker competition, they wanted a bunch of kicks in Candlestick.
And don't count on them to put too much money into the field, they are only there for one more season. But I agree - it should be in much better shape than that.

So we'll see what happens on Saturday. I'm hoping for something similar to when these 2 teams met in the regular season, a very one sided game by the Broncos with a solid defensive effort

Baltimore had no Ray Lewis. Their General.
Jameel McLain and Dannell Ellerbe were out. That's their other 2 ILB's. They started a UDFA, and a special teams player, at ILB.
Haloti Ngata was on one leg, using one arm.
Sizzle had come back ( too soon) from a total Achilles tear for this game.
Pernell McPhee was out. He's one of their best pass rushers.
Their 2 best CB's were out. And Cary Williams, despite being a great Corner in his own mind, sucks. He is just plain awful.
Marshal Yanda, their probowl right guard, was out. Bryant McKinnie, their LT, was on the bench while Michael Oher played, and was subsequently beaten like a red headed step child. Von Miller is a special player. Oher isn't the man to Protect Flacco in those situations.
And finally, their OC was fired the week before, and Jim Caldwell took over. Bound to be a few rough patches here and there in your first week of calling plays ever. Especially against manning, who was your former pupil in Indy.
Despite the pundits saying this game will be a repeat of the debacle in December, all the guys I listed above as injured or out are back, save one corner. This game will be different, don't you worry at all.

It will be different...I expect Denver to win by even more than they did in week 15. Lost in Baltimore's win was the fact they allowed 37 minutes time of possession and over 400 yards of offense. Denver's defense is probably twice as good as Indy's, so unless Baltimore's defense pitches a historic effort, they'll need Joe Flacco to go wild. I'm never taking Joe Flacco over Peyton Manning unless its a unibrow competition.

Atlanta Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez has never won a playoff game in his 16-year career (0-5). Gonzalez has played 254 regular-season games without a playoff win, the most of any active players (non-kickers).

Since the New England Patriots won their last Super Bowl, they have gone 7-6 in the playoffs -- including losing two Super Bowls (XLII and XLVI) to the New York Giants. In their first five seasons under coach Bill Belichick, the Patriots went 9-0 in the playoffs en route to three Super Bowl victories.

Better check your facts. The Broncos had about 350 yards on Offense. That's less than over 400 last I checked.
Ya, Manning with his heroic 17/28, 204 yards and 1 TD was super impressive.
It was the run D that choked, and the first half of the Offense that sealed the doom of the Ravens.
Now, with the return of most of their starters, you expect the Ravens to do worse?
Do tell.

Hmmm...well I didn't actually talk about the week 15 game (since I said Baltimore won...). I pointed out what happened in Baltimore's win last week, that Indy, while they lost, moved the ball well and controlled the clock. If Peyton Manning does the same, its gonna get very ugly. Denver's defense is going to get a lot of pressure on Joe Flacco, and he's gonna need to have a monster game for them to win. Again, I don't see it.
Also if the Broncos go for 350 they're still gonna win. Ravens need a monumental effort to get it done Saturday.

Is that why you picked the Niners? To fool the football gods into making the Packers win?

Belichick and Brady won more playoff games in their first five seasons together than the Chiefs have won in 53 years.

And they would be 5-0 in Superbowls if Eli didn't complete two spectacular passes.

Or 2-3 if John Kasay doesn't completely shank a kickoff.
