^ Definitely, but he's also got a very very nice average which has been very consistent. His power numbers were probably an anomaly, but his average would be very nice to have.

Where are you going?

Unless it's likely to sell out, I've always just purchased at the ticket window prior to the game (I've done this in Phoenix, Tampa, Toronto, both Chicago, and Milwaukee). That way you don't have to pay any Ticketmaster fees, and sometimes they have walk-up deals. When I went to the White Sox game, every walk-up ticket was half-price, so I got a $40 ticket for $20.

For the Red Sox and Yankees (last season at the old Stadium), I bought from StubHub. I went to a Mets game on the same trip and bought in advance from Ticketmaster, but really could have done a walk-up and probably paid less.

Also, if it's not a sell-out, there's a good chance the scalpers will have lots of tickets below face value.

Its in Boston, am planning on being there for 3 games against the Yankees and 2 against the Rays... I assumed that StubHub would be the smart way for the Yankees games, but I imagine for the two weekday games against Tampa it shouldn't be too hard to utilize a scalper.

StubHub has an official partnership with MLB so it's a good way to go for tickets. You can instantly download them as well. I usually find the prices are at their lowest about a week before the game but check regularly.

Reports online tonight say that former Jay, Ryan Freel, shot himself today and died. I liked the little guy. RIP.

Terrible News ^

Also Boston making a play for the Pirates 31 year old closer, ready to give up prospects? Shouldnt Boston (on their way for a 5th place finish next season) be trading FOR prospects?

If you're going to Boston, if you can't get tickets directly from Fenway when they go on sale. StubHub works, there's also Ace Tickets. They're an official partner of the Boston Red Sox (actually owned by the Red Sox) they're located across the street from Fenway, you get the actual printed ticket rather than the scannable PDF and if the Red Sox pitcher pitches a perfect game you're ticket is free.

My best advice is not to stay at the Sheraton Four Points in Revere.

Makes no sense. If they had kept Choo and have Swisher hit in front of or behind him then it's ok. But now Swisher IS Choo for double the price.

Choo is a free agent after this year, and is a Boras client, his clients never sign extensions and always go to free agency

also in trading Choo, they acquired Trevor Bauer, a top 10 pitching prospect

The Choo trade was good for Cleveland....this move is not. Swisher will have a hard time being a 800 OPS player in that lineup, in that ball park. By the time the Indians are any good, Swisher is going to be the guy in the lineup because they think they they have to play because of his contract.

I've been there twice and never had a problem getting tickets. The first time was because my uncle had season tickets, but we just got walk up tickets for our friends that came with us.

As long as you aren't picky, they have a TON of lawn seating that never fills up. It was actually one of the most enjoyable ways to watch the game. Sit by the bullpens and the guys are relaxed and usually willing to chat a bit. Had a fare share of balls thrown up there from the pitchers as well.

If you want any more answers, then feel free to pm me

Fair enough. Too many question marks with most of the guys - whether PED's or numbers. I like the baseball HOF - almost only the best get in. Judging by the numbers Bonds and McGuire received, I don't think they'll get in in the next 3 years at least.
