Wouldn't surprise me if it was. Sending body parts to a kids school is something that now appears not out of the ordinary for Magnotta. It's all about shock value at this point for more attention. Plus, sending it to Vancouver gets his message from coast to coast. Perhaps he sent it via snail mail, which is perhaps why they haven't been found yet - it took days in transit.

Didn't they say the package that was sent to the Tories was already pretty badly decomposed when it arrived? That was more than a week ago.
You hope that they're from the same victim because it means that there isn't another dead person out there, but it's hard to imagine they could have made it cross-country without someone noticing.

I think you seriously overestimate the postal system. Not just ours, but any postal service. They're not opening domestic packages all willy nilly like an airport does with suitcases. I'd be amazed if they did anything more than random drug/explosive searches with a dog or ion spectrometry in the major distribution hubs.
