The NBA has been doing this for a couple of decades now trying to ensure that it's biggest markets have as good a shot to make the finals as possible. At the end of the day it's still a business and the league has to do what's best for the league not necessarily what's best for the game.

Did you really just quote Montreal players talking #### because of the rennovated Home Team room at Commonwealth as proof that there is a league wide conspiracy to help the Riders?

I think the refs have been awful and are getting worse. I think the Riders have learned how to take advantage of the bad officiating when it comes to pass interference.

Yes I did and you can bring up their quotes if you like as it's pretty clear what they think.
There's a reason attendance is down league-wide this year. Fans are tiring of the officiating and Riders bias. I know a few Stampeders season ticket holders that were so disgusted with the officiating of the Western Final they they have boycotted the league and as you can see Stampeders attendance for the first two games is way down from where it normally has been over the past couple of decades. A sunny, Saturday evening at McMahon against the Eskimos is usually guaranteed 32,000 to 34,000. They couldn't even crack 30,000. This is what happens when you isolate the fanbases that have been the most supportive over the past couple of decades. The Stampeders and Eskimos have always been 1 & 2 in attendance and it's a slap in the face that the Riders who in the 90's were lucky to get 20,000 out for a home game have now been placed on a pedestal. The league better get it's act together because the league can't survive on it's own soley on Rider fan support.

Wow is all I can say is that if you truly believe any of that bull####. A Stamps vs Esks had bad attendance because of the Riders conspiracy?
That is seriously up there in ridiculousness and stupidity with all the people who swore off CFL because of the "conspiracies". Now you're like the Tower of the CFL thread. I bet you think 9/11 was an inside job and the moon landing was fake too.
And it isn't like it bothers me because you're not even bashing the Riders or the their fans. You're just delusional and I feel bad for you.

I think for the most part the bad officiating is due to incompetence but with the Riders it is so skewed and there are clear plays where it wasn't incompetence that there is something else going on.
I don't know if it is a league mandate, if the refs are taking a cue from the league office and going with it or the refs see the terrible calls in favor of the Riders and think that must be the way to go but there is no doubt the Riders have a seperate set of rules to help them and that the league has made gross errors to help the Riders, especially in the play-offs.

Really touching article here. Seems like Harris was a great man respected and loved by his players. RIP.

Not a big fan of his break downs of the game so far. Maybe he will grow on me but I really like Forde.

Shawn Gore should not have a job. He has dropped way too many catches for the Lions this year.

Talking about bad officiating in the CFL the refs may have just handed Winnipeg a 4th undeserved win this season.

That call was brutal, and it handed the Bombers the win, but I still can't help but feel good for them after this win considering the week that they have had.

For all the complaining Geroy Simon does after every pass his way, it was good to see him get the shaft on that play. Still didn't decide the game. The Bomber D was fantastic all game and is carrying the team. The only way you can win games with your 3rd string quarterback playing.

Geroy Simon getting held about 5-8 seconds prior to the ball getting there.
Bombers DB's held all game so it shouldn't be a surprise that one wasn't called but if it had been Terrence Edwards he would probably still be on the ground acting like he had been shot considering the crying and whining he does when he isn't even touched.
