I did not have a chance to post after the game, but wow what a night.
First things first, it was cold out, but a couple beers and I couldn't feel it anymore.
What an event! I started getting goosebumps the second I pulled up to the stadium, and it was even crazier once we got inside. It was loud, energetic and had an awesome vibe. Loved some of the videos that were played about the tradition of the game being played outside from NHL'ers.
Once it got started, was I ever into it. My voice is completely gone. I don't think I have woo'd and hollered and cheered so much in my life. The early goal took the habs fans out of it early. Also expected to see more fights between fans, but in my section everything was good.
As it got dark, and the win was all but at hand, all I could do was marvel like a little kid a the whole thing. Great job Flames, NHL and City of Calgary. An event I will never forget.

Not sure if you knew but players just pull on shells over their pants for the "special occasion" uniforms.
same with our retro uni's. I believe they are just shells that go over the existing pants.

Great game and atmosphere. Definitely glad I went and braved the cold until the end. The first/second were alright. In the third, my wife and I used all the hot-packs and they still didn't help the toes/fingers.
As for the game, I was in Section P, and I could see the puck clearly. Flames really took advantage of sloppy coverage by MTL. Bourque played awesome as did Glencross. Seems like every line contributed.
Can't forget about Kipper. He was great too after not having much work in the first.
Will post my pics/video in the other thread.
6th baby!!! 6th!!!!!

Loved Bourque's 2nd goal....epic display of skill.
If this team gets in and manages to stay healthy, how can anyone not say they are poised to do some damage?
The big difference between this year and years past is they are peaking in the 2nd half vs. playing to a huge division lead in the first half and nearly collapsing down the stretch.
If they manage to keep this pace up, you can't help but be excited for what lays ahead this spring. The trickiest part will be Feaster adding/subtracting from this roster without disrupting chemistry, and if the Flames can get any sort of separation over the next week.
I sure don't envy Feaster; some tough decisions ahead.

It is so painfully obvious, but I don't think they realize how ugly they really look especially the Heritage classic fakes.

Tell you what, I paid $40 for mine and I have no problem with that. It's not a jersey I will wear often if ever again but you go ahead and spend 5 times what I paid.
There would have been a lot less Heritage jerseys if the only option was $200.

I had an awesome time at the game. The cold started settling in during the third period. You know it's cold out when... ice crystals start to form in your beer, and eventually, it freezes and you can't drink it anymore!

The NHL's vice-president of marketing warned Thursday against buying counterfeit Heritage Classic merchandise that is already on the market.
"The easiest way to protect yourself is to buy from a reliable source," Brian Jennings said. "If (the price) is too good to be true, it's too good to be true."
Flames Nation believes in their team again. They've been wearing yellow and orange Heritage Classic jerseys to games at the Saddledome in recent weeks. About 16,000 of the 22,000 Heritage Classic jerseys sold have been to Flames fans, according to Jennings.

That just sounds like you're drinking it too slow.
