According to the WHL website Bennett did not play for the Portland Winterhawks tonight, so he might be hurt .
More likely is he is just a really crappy hockey player.

Despite a perceived lack of talent by some, it appears Bennett is injured and is out indefinitely. From what I have read Bennett has made good strides in development. 20 points in 35 games in his first WHL season is pretty good for a 5th round draft pick. Particularly one that was planning on going to college prior and getting four more years of development rather than two in the WHL.

You seem to crap on Bennett alot. Is it because we didn't take Kozun in that spot?
How annoying.....

It seems to me the Flames have enough "Bennett" types in the organization..id rather Sutter have taken a chance on a more skilled forward like Kozun.

It's all part of Sutter's master plan to keep you whining about our offense for years to come.

I believe in the Jays.
I really don't see why Bennet was even drafted is a "projectable frame" really that important? I mean the kid didn't even have really good numbers playing in the BCJHL. I thought the kid was silly to throw away the Athletic scholarship personally... unless his folks are loaded or something.

My bad........I have read other posts slamming Spencer Bennett recently, and I made an assumption.

Jonio Ortio is 2nd in Flames prospects scoring at the World Juniors, with two assists. Is this the set-up guy we need?

Ryan Howse now tied for the WHL lead in goals, admittedly having played a few more games than the feller he's tied with

The San Antonio cheerleaders are hot.
Score 2-2 for the Heat with 8 minutes left, sure beats watching the Oilers on CBC.
Lundmark takes a puck off the head. He's skating back on his own, should be OK.
Going to OT
Heat take penalty with 1:26 left.
Backlund, Joffrey, Sutter and Vandergulick have looked good.
Heat hang on now going to best of five shootout after the fans stop dancing.
Turris misses now Cunning beats Poggie.
Keatley poke checks someone.
Backlund is stopped.
Bernhart beats Keatley.
Jaffrey hits the post.
McClean is stopped by Keatley.
Seabrook is stopped.
Morgan is stopped.
Vandermeer is stopped.
Sullivan is stopped.
Lundmark is stopped.
Hollweg is stopped.
Sutter is stopped.
Sharp scores.
Garth Murray needs to score. He does.
Orpik shoots wide.
Vander Gullik scores!!!!
Heat win in comeback, 3-2 in the nine round shootout.
Poggie third star
Missed Heat second star
Seabrook first star but Heat announcer says he was our 4th best defenceman.

Gaelan Patterson had 3 goals and an assist last night (Sunday) and is becoming darn near a PPG player in the WHL.
