That's not how Trump supporters brains work. They are indoctrinated and already being fed that this is another "steal" if Harris wins. Hinchcliffe will be fine, he has millions of fans and this be all conspiracy stuff for Trump fans if they lose.

You're asking why young voters - who basically string memes together to communicate with each other - picked the meme lord as their next President?

Can't wait for Democrats to blame progressives for this loss after shifting hard right on certain issues in a futile attempt to capture Republican votes.

It always makes sense to cut your nose off.
If she loses the failure was back when they didn’t primary Biden though.

It's not on progressives though. I'll predict that the progressive vote will be largely unchanged from 2020. Where she's lost votes is with black, Latino, and working class voters.
She ran an awful, awful campaign, but the Dems never ####ing learn.

Progressives don't win elections either. Get out of your fantasy land, it's corny.

Yes that is where she lost votes but any progressives who didn’t vote her are still morons.
That’s independent of whether they are to blame.

I'm not saying they do. I'm saying the Dems always blame them when they lose, despite the fact that they've been bleeding votes from their historical base for about 4 straight elections now.

Well they are the ones consistently making a big stink about not voting Democrat because they're not progressive enough when the alternative is fundamentally worse in literally every way measurable.
They're idiots and no one should take them seriously. Literally the fart sniffers from South Park.

Yeah, going into 2024 with Biden as the guaranteed nominee was always a spectacularly bad idea that basically ensured that they'd be underdogs in the election.
But trotting out people like Liz Cheney in an attempt to entice a type of Republican voter that basically doesn't exist anymore was always a very questionable plan. Swing voters don't give a **** about what Liz Cheney has to say, and you're turning off part of your base by doing that.
And I really do question whether the US is capable of electing a woman President at this point.
But really, whatever Harris' weaknesses and no matter how lacklustre her campaign was, it ultimately comes down to them thinking an 82 year old who is losing his faculties was a good candidate. Biden sticking around until the last minute left no real other option other than Harris, even though she is a pretty weak candidate.

With how this result is trending I'm not sure she could have won even with a perfect campaign. Obviously wasn't a great campaign, but also it was clearly better than Hillary's and she might perform even worse than Hillary, against a more deranged Trump. GGG's original point is the correct one, this was lost when they didn't try to remove Biden in a primary.

Yes, how dare they try to keep the Democratic Party accountable for their policy decisions. We should just be happy with having two right-wing parties.

If this is how you're coping tonight, go off. You're not really making any salient points.
The enthusiasm behind her campaign took a noticeable nosedive when she moved away from promoting popular policies in favour of touring the country with the Cheneys.

Yes, your wall of salient points is truly insurmountable. Such as, smug comment about progressives 1 and smug comment about progressives 2. Killer stuff.
