He did arrive in time at the parc ferme, where sliders must check with their sleds prior to every race, but did not have the covers off his runners in time. Douglas was about two minutes late in removing those covers, according to teammate Jeff Pain.

I saw just saw that Melissa interview and it was hard to watch. If I was here in shoes I would have declined the interview she gets a huge thumb from for doing the interview even though she was clearly devastated.

Pretty good quote at the end about how a mistake can happen anywhere, at a world cup, at training, etc. but this mistake happened at the olympic games.
