The league should act all sympathetic and ask the Oilers how many games they want. Hell, give 'em the option of suspending both Soucy and Zadorov and see how many games they think is reasonable.
Then they should match the suspension with an equal suspension to McDavid for the baseball swing hack job at the end of the game that instigated the matter. The shock from McD fanboys would be out of this world.
The ocean of salty tears from Oilers fans would lead to Rogers Arena becoming a coastal property, and Alberta finally gaining direct access to tidewater.

For a 6'1" guy with thicc legs and elite skating, he crumples easier than a timbit shinny player in scrums like that one.
Almost like its intentional.
When rushing the goal and getting leaned on he oddly stays upright just fine.... huh.

Pissy is the same way. For a big guy it sure is easy to knock him over.

Yeah its funny how when he believes he can get an opportunity regardless if a guy is hanging on him he can power through it. If he feels like he will be defended his legs instantly shoot out from underneath him at the slightest touch.
Drai loves to skate at an opponent and when the guy goes to protect himself, Pissy loves to throw his head back or spin into oblivion.
These turds have been doing this for years. How they still get calls is beyond me. If I was a referee I'd be making sure they weren't getting away with making me look like a fool every night.

Looking at the ice times, man Tocchet splits ice time like Sutter used to. Highest is Hughes at 23.37 (average) it's just the very bottom few players on the depth chart that are under 10mins.
Petterson reminds me of Gaudreau early in his playoff career a bit. Smaller guy who's having a hard time finding his way and making an impact. They need him to figure it out. They have a few skill guys that have a lot of room for improvement.
I didn't realize my hatred of the Oilers was so strong that'd I'd be looking through Canuck depth charts, lineups and stats to get more of an idea the makeup of their team. But here we are.

Petterson can't handle the contract talk pressure. He was the same way in the season he signed the bridge. The moment the contract stuff got a laser focus on it, he crumpled. The year he signed the bridge, he had the laser focus on him to start the year when he sat out training camp. Then three, four months later he was fine. I think he'll be back to normal in September. But the timing of him turning into a sheep is just awful.

I’m pretty sure McHobo doesn’t have thicc legs. More like chicken legs. Haven’t you’re retinas been burned by seeing the absolutely cringeworthy CIBC Let’s Go commercial with McHobo wearing his skinny’s?

I wonder if Soucy will just get a +5k fine. Actual games seems harsh and unfair, he's clear not meaning to hit him there and when you see the freeze frame that's even clearer, it's barely above the chest.
Anyway stealing a game in Edm is great, game 4 would just be a bonus win. Demko is supposed to be available for game 5 or 6 and I think any perceived advantage the oilers had in net is not only gone but completely reversed now.
As others have said, time for Pettersson to step up now and impact the series... even if he's gone quiet a guy like that won't be silent the whole series

Oiler fans are all happy to see Draisaitl be all pissy.
Just wait until the end of next year when Draisaitl turns it up to maximum pissy levels on the way out of town.

Seeing the stick flex is hilarious.
Seriously though, what did McDavid think was going to happen after he two-handed slashed a huge rugged 6'5 NHL Dman standing right in front of him during the playoffs?

For all the Oiler fans screaming and crying for suspensions.
McDavid's slash after the buzzer, instigator, game misconduct, I think a suspension and fine of the player and head coach is possible.
The Kane Slewfoot, was dangerous and dirty, that should have been a match penalty.
The spear to Hoglands junk, game misconduct.
McDavid drawing blood, 4 minutes.
The Oilers and their fans can cry all they want, the bottom line is they spent the season getting managed games from the refs, and in the playoffs those pretty much vanish. And you either toughen up. Or get eliminated.

Do you think he will be an Oiler to start next season or does he tell them this summer that he won’t re-sign and they ship him out quickly under a flurry of degrading comments about his “actual” ability and character?

Had no idea Ian Cole was still in the league. He is on his 5th team in 4 years.
