None. How many conservatives do you know that you'd think of as being thoughtful people? There are no mental gymnastics. They simply won't think about it.

I am not seeking any of these out; I open social media, and there is a new one staring me multiple times right back in my face.
The hits just keep coming, they are relentless, and all at her own doing.

The WS pitchbot satire account is great; well worth a follow if you don't already.

Can Danielle go an entire week without a boneheaded unforced error? Will she outlast Liz Truss as leader of her party?

Clearly the UCP didn’t want Jason Kenney to be the worst premier of Alberta.

Oh come on now, there are plenty of them. If you surround yourself with like minded minions, you don’t get to see how crazy both sides of the spectrum are. Smith should probably be removed for mental health reasons though.

Smith is going ahead with the any news is good news strategy.
If the NDP election strategy is moral poo pooing the UCP then they will lose.
The NDP will need to run on a solid economic policy that promises to stabilize healthcare and public education.
Virtue signaling and faux outrage will do them little good.

When Smith makes braindead comments downplaying the holocaust, residential schools/genocide, and defends Russia, the outrage is very real. Nothing faux about it.

There are literally thousands of hours of tapes of Danielle Smith making a fool out of herself. This will be a drip drip drip thing all the way until May.

Remember when political parties used to do very through background checks on candidates to make sure there was absolutely nothing embarrassing from their past, and if there was, they'd get in front of it? Back in the day, someone like Smith couldn't get anywhere close to registering for leadership. Ya, good times...

This thread will become insufferable next year when all of the posters who left the provincial politics threads, claiming they only care about federal politics, come back to moan endlessly about whatever comparatively minor transgressions made by the NDP while completely ignoring the last 4 years of the UCP governance.

Maybe if people discussed policy and why they don’t actually like Smith vs reposting twitter troll nonsense which is akin to saying someone read the National Enquire once. There’s also a lot of bigotry, misogynism in here, maybe that’s why people don’t want to bother to engage.
Let Danielle Smith put forth some policy. I’m not even defending her as she’s quite capable. I’ll vote for the party with the best policies and what’s best for Alberta.

How do you feel about the proposed $300 heath spending account as fix to health care? It adds roughly 8% to total heath care costs and is proposed instead of things like real Pharma care plans.

It’s the first I’ve heard of it and so far it’s only being proposed with current MLAs saying it’s not a great idea but if it helps people with dental and prescriptions costs, that could be be beneficial to people without benefits.
