Milos is in Paris this week for the final official tourney of the ATP season - He's seeded 4th and his first match will be against Pablo Carreno Busta who took care of Fognini in short order 6-3 6-1 earlier today.

Milos takes the opening set in a tie-breaker (no surprise there). 10 aces in the opening set for Milos.

That first set Milos was strong on his serve but struggled with the returns. Efficient service on both sides, I don't even think there was a deuce. Quick for a 7-6 set.
Milos seeming to get settled in the second set just broke to make it 3-2.

Looking at the Paris draw, a quarter-final clash with Nishikori is looming for Milos.
/Obviously, lots of tennis to be played yet.

I didn't see today's match, but methinks Milos was a tad miffed dropping that opening set and kicked things up a notch after that.

Either Jack Sock or John Isner will be in the semi-finals in Paris - They can thank Jan-Lennard Struff for eliminating Stan Wawrinka earlier in the tourney.

Tennis is a funny sport - Nishikori bagels Tsonga in the first set, then Tsonga takes set 2 6-3, and in set 3, Nishikori had two match points, but couldn't seal the deal (it looks like he got the yips as he double-faulted a few times in set 3). At any rate, Tsonga takes set 3 in a tie-breaker and will be Milos' opponent in the quarter-finals.

Cuevas served a ridiculous and unsustainable 83% on first serves in the first set. Which is the only reason he won it. He fell back down to earth quickly. Excited to see how the Tsonga match goes as Raonic has owned him the last two meetings on Clay.
An added bonus being that another win inches Milos closer to snatching the world #3 ranking before the end of the year which would be a career high and cap a pretty impressive year despite a pretty blah indoor season the last couple of months.

Good Canadian content in the doubles as well in Paris - Both Pospisil and Nestor (with partners Melo and Bopanna respectively) are in the semi-finals.

The post Big Three era has begun. Milos withdraws from Paris, making Andy Murray the new number one.

Well, that sucks. Looking forward to watching Milos takoe on Murray, but Milos pulls out with a grade 1 quad tear. Disappointing.

Probably best to not play Andy if he isn't 100% or even close, no need to have Andy run him ragged.

Agreed, hopefully it's just something minor, but it likely wouldn't take much to turn it into something major.
