Did the budget mention any cuts to post secondary? I remember a few years ago they slashed operating budgets for U of C and U of A. I haven’t had a chance to look at it very closely.

Not saying I disagree, but you could save yourself some time if you just made this your signature.

She's an idiot but even she didn't think it would save money. She's obviously banking on the increased red tape and lack of communication between departments to help her out with stealing taxpayer money.

Yes, but on the positive side they will then charge AHS rent for the facilities, which is a great new revenue stream for the province without adding overhead whatsoever!
Edit: That's if the province keeps the hospitals. If they sell them, they get the money and AHS is stuck paying the leases not the province. Genius!

And when that causes AHS performance to deteriorate even further then they will be replaced by a private operator who will be paid extra.

They're also being really generous with the discount they're applying to the oil in their projections. We could get absolutely earholed.
That said, if conflict picks up around Iran again, and Trump never applies a tariff to oil, then maybe oil prices stay high and they are saved by pure luck.

So when we get our massive property tax increase bills, is everyone going to remember who to blame for them, or are they just gonna rage on Gondek? Will The Dinger set them straight? Stay tuned!
Tax cut my ass.

UCP strategy is and always has been 'blame someone else for everything bad that happens'

As U of C alumni I somewhat support that. I do the taxes for some U of C Professors and, suffice it to say that from my my University experience...they are vastly overpaid and when those donations drives start? They dont get a dime from me. They've taken enough of my money.

I assume the UCP are still getting political traction from their base when they mention and blame the Trudeau's for all of Alberta's woes. Nate Horner mentioned both senior Trudeau (who has been dead for 25 years and the NEP was 40 or so years ago) and junior Trudeau (who will be no longer be the Liberal Leader and Prime Minister) in his budget speech.
This current Alberta Government is truly disgusting and incompetent.
Blame, blame, blame. Don't forget who has been governing Alberta for most of the last many years.

Can't wait to see how conservatives now decide to spin that deficits are a good thing.
