Having been on this board for 20 years and never posting anything like this once, I think it's safe to say I'm not doing that. Also it's a two piece deal only. First and prospect.

If the deal was truly done, both teams would be insane to let this happen. Because if there is a serious injury, Boston could pull out if it chose to, as the trade would not be official.

If it really is in Andersson’s court on signing an extension for a bigger return or not, it wouldn’t really be up to the Flames to stop him from playing today.

Someone said yesterday about putting him in lineup for a shift or two, maybe just pp, and have him on bench mostly and going with 11 fwds

Perhaps your source is telling you what the 'no extension' return is, while the 1st + Lohrei + Poitras rumours represent the 'with extension' return?

If this is true, I can see why sentimentality wins and they're letting Rasmus play. TOR 1st and Poitras is kinda meh. I doubt they play him if the agreed upon deal involved Hagens, for example.

Bidding still happening is great. Frustrating for us waiting but this is exactly what we want to maximize value.

If its with an extension isn't a two piece return less than is typical for this type of deal?
Has to be two good pieces for Conroy to shake hands on it, with several other teams making bids.

I'd sooner have Lohrei that Poitras...but Lohrei is no prospect.
If it's a 1st (I hope it's not Florida's next year, because they'll be back next year full-swing - Florida's '27 1st is the least valuable pick BOS holds) and Poitras, I'll look at it the same as the Hanifin trade.
I didn't hate the Hanifin trade because we got a 1st, which is the main goal here as well. It's just not a homerun.

They were looking for the equivalent of two firsts in value so I'll guess it's Letourneau and the better of the two firsts this year. Might personally prefer Zellers to Letoureau but if he's the one I understand the swing.

Steinberg on 960 agreeing with Dreger's earlier tweet. Says Boston, Vegas definitely in. Stars in it. Knows Bruins have had contract talks with Andersson's camp.

Craig is playing hardball and I respect it, enough pushing him around to try and get a premium piece for less than market value. If you want him, pay me my 3 pieces, this time there is more than 1 team interested which is helping with leverage. I’d imagine something will give soon.

Royle9 just piggybacks off information he reads from Twitter or from other posters. Some forget when he posted B/R ice offseason proposals for Andersson and posted them on here as his own, but I don’t.

Here's a scouting report on him from December.
Quote:
|
The challenge for Poitras is that the Bruins are stacked down the middle. He’s shown he’s at his best when playing center, so moving him to the wing doesn’t help his case. Boston already has Elias Lindholm, Pavel Zacha, Casey Mittelstadt, Sean Kuraly, Fraser Minten, and Marat Khusnutdinov, who can play center. With James Hagens, Dean Letourneau, Chris Pelosi, and Will Moore also pushing from the pipeline, winning an NHL spot becomes even harder. Unless he forces the issue with a major breakout, his path forward is not guaranteed.

No one cares what you have to say about him, or any other insiders DreDay. So, just know, that what you're writing is irrelevant.
