On hold with BC Hydro about getting a new connection for my build. They pop in every 3 minutes or so with a message that says, "all of our coordinators are currently busy, the wait time is X".
When that message first played, the wait time was 10 minutes.
I have been on hold for 20 minutes.
It now says the wait time is currently 12 minutes.
Is this intentional? Is someone just a huge Kafka fan? Saw Brazil and figured it was a guide on how to build a society? If you want a good argument against crown corporations...
Any corporation that ever says "larger than normal call volumes" needs their executive group executed and their offspring. You know someone got a bonus for eliminating staff complete with a PPT presentation talking about the cost savings by adding that statement.

In fairness, the jackholes who would frequent Kijiji and immediately offer you $20 on something you were asking $120 for — with the complete benefit of anonymity and zero accountability for it — are what killed Kijiji. Especially the resellers.

Sell on facebook, buy on kijiji. So many great things on kijiji that would sell in 5 minutes on facebook at $80 that sit on kijiji for $60, you offer $40 and they're happy to part with it.

That’s not unique to Kijiji. Being less anonymous hasn’t stopped that.
I get that all the time on FB. I don't know if some people just get caught in the rush of buying things and then immediately suffer buyer's remorse but for almost every item I sell, I get a buyer and I come to an agreement on price and to pick it up the next day only to never hear from them again. I just wish these people would at least have the courtesy to message that they had a change of heart.
I wouldn't say it's dead, but less activity for sure. I really dislike facebook marketplace's search function, always showing random results if the terms you searched for don't have any listings. Half of the time I'm just looking at the results wondering why in the hell they would show me these unrelated items.

Oh it’s pretty dead. The views on my ads the last 6 months have been shockingly low. Even free stuff. Like… less than 15.
Drop my kiddo off at dayhome. As we're walking up to the house he's asking me 'Where's Ms. _____'s car?' (but lots of other cars on the street)
Guess it was street cleaning day on their street. Walked out and parking enforcement was driving by with the cameras. I was there for all of 5 minutes but timed it perfectly. Sigh can't wait for the ticket in the mail.
