Gonna regret posting this and we're going to have to immediatly agree to disagree because I hate playing insider but that's only kinda true. They were mad but because that he said it publicly, not his general thoughts.

Craig Conroy, Brad Pascal, Jarome Iginla and the management team are competitors, same as Rasmus Andersson. They don't want to lose and don't show up to the rink to lose. Don't know if you saw Conroy in the press box during the Canes win following the press box but he was smiling and cheering on the goals. Some guys were upset, not by his thoughts, but because it's not good to take shots at your home team fans. Hockey fans aren't exactly the most nuanced of thinkers. Anderrson's mentality if completely different from a fan. There's no reason to confuse the two or be offended by it. Conroy and Andersson have a really good relationship and any thought that that was some final straw "That's it!" moment are just not true I believe, not from what I've seen and heard.

Drafted and developed Flame who enjoyed his time here, has nothing bad to say about the organization or city and it's like some of you are giddy that he's struggling in his next stop.
Some people are slaves to jfresh's statistical analysis; they're interesting and provide a different light on the situation but you shouldn't worship at their feet. I've seen nothing but praise for Kevin Bahl but his Wins Above Replacement weren't great when he arrived here and got worse by the team Conroy signed him to a new deal.

Interesting and definitely a good analysis tool but not gospel.

That said, no one is expecting players to give less than their full effort, or do anything other than play to win. No one is asking players to be ok with losing.

So maybe it was just a case of him not choosing his words carefully enough. As a Flames player, it's not ok to say that 10% of Flames fans aren't real fans.
Kinda ironic right now considering Ras playing poorly now is helping a Flames draft pick

I wonder if the injury from that accident affected more than it seemed.

Did I say something different?

My "gone" comment was more from his POV. He wasn't extending.

Doesn’t really make sense (that the day he said that he decided to leave) or line up with what I’ve heard either. Maybe your info is bad.
