Phew. Great job by Rodriguez. A little lucky on that Stanton bullet but the ump also screwed him on the first pitch. So it's a wash.

Like Jiri said, we lose Bo after this season. This is an extrenely unique opportunity on a roster build hat has been mostly very underwhelming the last 7 or 8 years. Push the damn chips in and get a couple relievers a bat and hopefully another strong pitcher.
I'm on the same page if they acquire players with years of control. Not in favor of going after arms like deGrom or other short-term additions.

I think if Bo leaves they'll miss him, but I could also see a situation that's similar to how it's played out at 3B, where they piece together similar production that doesn't cost as much, beef up their offensive production at other positions.

I think the problem with deGrom is that he isn't a short term addition - he's got a guaranteed $75MM the next two years, which is a lot of money to commit to someone for their 38/39 year old seasons.

I'll never forget that Chisholm only hit 3 homeruns in the home run Derby. Dude is a clown.

Didn't take Barger long to become a fan favorite this season.

Nice clutch hit, cuts the lead to 3-1.

Great job getting on the board and taking a bite of that early lead. A rare poor AB by Kirk.

They may be trailing so far but they are chewing up that pitch count early, almost 50 pitches still in the 2nd.
