Nice bunt by Varsho but Cortes is famous for his holding onto the ball. Not sure stealing on him was a good idea.

I get that Vladdy is out of the lineup but the offense has been embarrassing this series.

This whole season
Considering we have 3 guys in the top 10 in batting and are middle of the pack in every statistics shows how bad the rest have been
Chapman is coming back to his norm , and Vladdy being out just highlights how bad the offence is top to bottom this season these last few games
And Moreno and Gurriel both hitting over .300 is just salt in the wounds

Of course it has to be Hicks. That guy is up there with Brett Gardner, Cal Raleigh, and Alex Verdugo for crap players who have built a career on dominating the Jays.

Damn, berrios was setting up got a wonderful 7 run inning and he gives up the third run.
Unfortunately with our offense lately, that's probably game

FFS. This goddamn team just can't hit right now. Bases loaded with nobody out and they barely cash a run. And only because Merrifield is a great base runner.

I blame coaching on that one. Belt? Why? They gotta improve this bench here if he's your best option.

Dan and Buck #### talking how bad Albert Abreu has been. Comes in retires the Jays in order with 2 K's. Nobody can out suck the Jays bats right now.

They should ask Manoah to throw BP to the Jays…he’s been turning every team into great hitters. That was kind of mean.

I am usually fairly optimistic about the Jays chances, and they have a decent squad this year, but I am not really seeing the power that makes a good team great. Not enough extra base power or home run power. Bo and Vlad are always gonna be reliable but Chappy is starting to regress to his normal levels and Springer looks borderline bad right now. Chappy and Springer are huge strikeout guys too which isn't helping either. That essentially the meat of the line up too.
Varsho looks to be essentially a boom bust guy with a ton of strikeout in him who is way too high in the line up as well, a sub .700 OPS just isn't cutting it for a team that needs offense. That Moreno/Gurriel deal is starting to look a bit rough right now to be honest.
Kirk has been horrible. If he isn't hitting he is essentially an empty spot on the roster. I think they might have hitched their horse to the wrong wagon here.
All of a sudden the team looks kind of old too with Keirmeir, Belt, Whit, Springer and now Matt Chapman on the wrong side of 30.
I remember Atkins and Shapiro talking about "waves" of talent coming from our development system. Well right now I don't see much help coming from AAA or AA in terms of an impact bat.
This post might not age well but I am just not seeing "it" with the roster so far this year.

My optimism is waning as well.
The Rays are coming back to earth a bit , but the Os keep rolling and you should see what some of their prospects are doing. And then the Jays have gone 3-8 vs the Red Sox and Yankees this season so far.
Still hoping it all comes together but this division is a living hell.
