Wow Drew Brees. At least that record is finally dead so Brady can pass him

Rivers or Romo throw 5 picks and they get roasted. Brees should too, he was awful. Still not sold on Matt "check down" Ryan being that guy who can win the super bowl? Atl. defense played great though

Tony Gonzalez looks like he could play another three years. But they say it's pretty likely this is his last season. Hopefully he'll finally get to win a playoff game this year.

Wow, that game was unbelievable. Saints O spoils a solid performance by an improving D. That very well could be the worst game I've seen Brees play as a Saint. The amount of points the O gave away was unreal.
The Brees off target, back shoulder throw to Ivory for an INT on the N.O. 25. Horrible
Letting the game clock inexcusably expire on the 5 yard line. Unbelievable
Within ATL 10 yard line, Moore (who had a good game otherwise) drop in EZ & Ingram slip on a sure TD screen on back-to-back plays 2nd/3rd down. Mind-bottling
Between all that and 2 more Brees picks within their own 30, that's a potential 20 point differential the Saints O just straight up gave away, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Squandered effort in a game where after a rough start, I feel they were in control of the last 2.5+ quarters, but just couldn't finish drives. Easily the most frustrating game of the year.
I try not to do the post game rant too much on here, but that one was definitely worthy. Blech, too bad its Thursday, after that one I feel the need to get Friday hammed..

A little morning racism for us all

San Francisco’s Colin Kaepernick is going to be a big-time NFL quarterback. That must make the guys in San Quentin happy.
Approximately 98.7 percent of the inmates at California’s state prison have tattoos. I don’t know that as fact, but I’ve watched enough “Lockup” to know it’s close to accurate.
I’m also pretty sure less than 1.3 percent of NFL quarterbacks have tattoos. There’s a reason for that.
NFL quarterback is the ultimate position of influence and responsibility. He is the CEO of a high-profile organization, and you don’t want your CEO to look like he just got paroled.
Now along comes Kaepernick. Since taking over for Alex Smith two games ago, he has convinced everybody in the Bay area that he’s the second coming of Steve Young.
Smith is coming back from a concussion, ushering in the attendant QB controversy. But he is looking like Wally Pipp and Kaepernick is Lou Gehrig. All I can do is look in the mirror and sigh

There's also the hilarious fact that his tatoos are his favorite bible verses!

Multiple reports out there of a Kansas City player committing suicide at the team facility after killing his girlfriend elsewhere. Horrible situation.

If you believe Twitter Javon Belcher is the player. Regardless a really senseless tragedy.

Awful. Reports coming out say Javon Belcher killed himself in front of Romeo Crennel and Scott Pioli. Even more awful they apparently leave behind a 2.5 month old baby.

Apparently he thanked Pioli and Crennal before pulling the trigger. Ghastly situation.

Safe to assume the NFL will cancel the KC/Carolina game tomorrow?

Looks like the NFL is asking Carolina to fly to KC according to reports.
On another note, looking at ESPN report on webpage, how can you report such shocking news, but then in the following paragraph start outlining on field issues in 2012 and talk about the Chiefs fan rebellion etc as if they are somehow comparable, or even related. Poor journalism IMO.

I guess it comes down to what the two coaches think, who actually had to witness the event. If they want to play, is the NFL really wrong for not cancelling the game?

That was the first thing that I thought when reading the report. Why would they even consider adding that stuff?
