Maybe they need HR slacks to go with the jacket?
It's as if they and the manager read the press after two decent games, oat themselves on the back, and just shut it down again.

JFC Turner. That ball bounced 5' in front of the plate.

3 soft ground outs on 5 pitches for the 3-4-5 hitters. Just a fantastic brand of baseball being played by the boys in blue.

I don't understand why Turner is hitting there. You have Jansen and Two lefties in Varsho and Vogelbach on the bench. And you stick with the guy who is 2 for his last 100. Just fantastic management by Schneider.

Sheesh. I think this one is on the manager. The bottom of the order did a good job getting on base and setting up the top of order to score some runs. But you put the Jays worst hitter over the last month in the 2 hole and every rally was killed. 6 left on base for Turner.

If the Jays were to rebuild, they really need to change the management team.
GM has to go,
However I doubt the Jays will want to go down that path.

3-3 in this crucial stretch against these "easy" teams.
Pitching has been fantastic, and with even an average MLB offense in these same games, it's a record of 5-1 at least.

Justin Turner in May -> .113 / .175 / .132 / -8 wRC+
Danny Jansen in May -> .333 / .393/ .630 / 185 wRC+
Jays - "Hey, let's bat Turner 2nd and put him at DH again. Sit Danny on the bench"
Turner goes 0-4 and leaves 5 men on base in a 2-1 loss
Who is the person making these decisions lol?

This times 1000.
What the actual ####.
Like. Even if they wanted to rest Varsho or Jansen. They still could've pinched hit one of them for Turner in the 7th. John Schneider is fully responsible for this loss. The dude has no ####ing clue how to set a lineup.
Caleb Joseph mentioned that this was the 48th different lineup in 51 games. You'd think that after some of those 9 run games that they would run with a certain lineup for a bit. Not big John though. He's still looking at numbers and righty lefties rather than the players in front of him. Just incredible ineptitude.

He needs to go. Analytics are great and all but you can’t manage simply on analytics. He can’t or won’t do that.

The Jays need to call up Barger or Lukes and play them in RF.
Springer is a black hole and you can't continue to play him every day with a 58 wRC+
Cut Vogelbach, bring in Barger or Lukes and let Springer work things out in a part time role.
Also, right now they are catching Jansen more than Kirk. Kirk has a 107 wRC+ since the start of May, so instead split their time at C and then start using Jansen at DH more.
1. Get rid of Vogelbach
2. Give Springer less AB's (more to either Barger or Lukes)
3. Give Turner less AB's (more to DJ & Kirk)
It took them forever to give more AB's to Schneider while continuing to feed them to Biggio
It took them forever to take Springer out of the lead off spot
Just so slow to make adjustments
