I’m thinking that Little Nas X song.
I hated public speaking so much I took an extra year of high school to avoid a 5 minute speech to 10 people. Dropped English 30 and math 31 to not have to be questioned on the end of year English 30 speech. Went to another school for two courses the next year and got 98% in math 31 and 93% in English 30. 100% to avoid that speech. Never told my parents. Made up some horse crap reasons.
Now I do it all the time and kinda like it.

You should have/could have taken Paul Giamatti’s place in the movie “Duets”.

Trying to sing like John Fogerty, especially this song, seems insanely difficult.

Anyone else enjoy synthwave? I was quite elated when Kavinsky performed at the closing ceremonies in Paris. That was quite unexpected especially for a medley ensemble.

I don't love synth wave, but I own a few synthesizers and they are endless fun.

Took a day off, went to the lake with a couple of the kids and the dog. Dropped the boat in the water, did some wakeboarding. What a great day.

The mistake is trying to sound like John Fogerty and mimic his style

The Okotoks Dawgs won the first game of the best of 3 WCBL final 7-4 against the Moose Jaw Miller Express. Now it's off to MJ for game 2 tomorrow night and the chance to be 3 Peat Champions of the WCBL.

What's the significance of "dawgs" versus "dogs". Makes them sound so off-brand.

A dog is a member of the species Canis lupus familiaris.
A Dawg is a close friend or someone trusted and respected within a social circle.

Cool 90s spellings were all the rage in the 90s... or the early 2000s in Okotoks.
