Do you just use it on your iPhone?

yep - it's a free app but like most has a premium option for more features.

All the good bits are free though.

Also good to compare your times throughout the year and see the difference between your fitness levels/windy/rain etc. I dont think its as accurate with a iPhone for accurate down to the foot where you went. I think you can get a GPS unit that will load to it though.

very odd morning weather wise, very warm, but with lots of humindity in the air - very un-calgary weather i'd say.

hoping for a nice day tomorrow as the family is hoping to get out to lake louise to ride around the bow river and then ride the tram trail - i love going to lake louise - just don't kike the drive

We are heading to Canmore to ride Goat Creek tomorrow, then back on the Legacy trail. Should be a good day!

Lol, that is a minor detail that I will never overlook again. Climbing that extremely dusty gravel road at the end of a 40km ride is a PITA. And, by dusty, I mean that your snot is coming out brown for 2 days.

Probably not. I've done it before, used to do it all the time when I rode the Claimer but there are enough of us we can shuttle. Only issue might be the parade shutting down access through town.

It has rained a bit there so the dust shouldn't be to bad. All depends on the traffic.

I use a Garmin 510 and when I upload to Garmin express it automatically updates Strava. My wife just uses her iphone and strava. We did the branchout tour, and her Strava App showed 1.5 kms longer, which is pretty close for 100km, but the app on the iphone also registered 400m more of elevation over the ride, which is pretty bad.

Great news for anyone who lives in the se and uses the bow river pathway.

The city seems to have finally started to repair the pathway sections that were damaged after the flood. On the ride home today a few of the cocrete barriers were moved, and one section with a drop was fixed.

Guessing this afternoons monsoon caused those boys to shut down early.

Took the family out to lake Louise today and we rode around the bow river trails and we then rode the tram trail up to the chateau where we had lunch on the patio.

Gotta hand it to my daughter (who is 10 and not overly athletic), as the rode walked the entire ride, and she had one wipeout and no tears.

We rode a total of 20k....the ride up the tram had two moderately steep parts and the rest of it was a typical rail trail grade - it felt like riding into a headwind.

Riding down was a blast as we only needed about three pedal cranks.

I did this this weekend and hitch hiked the gravel road.

So if you picked up a hitch hiker on Thursday thanks for the ride.

You all catch the Stage 2 carnage? These guys need the full face and body armor moreso than the DH gnar-bro kids.

Love to watch the final bit... even with all the EPO and T:epi ratio allegations, it is just amazing to watch these guys gut it out.

On a different note, I bent the chainstay on my low travel bike this weekend at the nordic center. It was on the techy section just past soft yogurt. Held speed around the last right turn past the rocks, but didn't make the final left turn before the bridge. End result: I'm frame shopping. Question: Would anyone (male) feel uncomfortable riding a women's frame? The Juliana Furtado is the exact frame as Santa Cruz 5010 except for the paint. Same top tube length, same HA, etc. They are cheaper than dirt (http://www.competitivecyclist.com/ju...=JLI000X-BLU-L), around half of what a 5010 frame sell for. I'm not sure I can say no.
