I also get that. But that’s why I didn’t specify bunt.
Put the runners in motion and get Bichette to slash. As he’s pretty good hitting the other way. A ball on the ground would accomplish the same.
It’s not a certainty I know. But it sure is frustrating watching them fumble opportunities the same way again and again.

If a game goes to extra innings and as the home team you make it out of the top of the inning without surrendering a run I always find it a massive failure if you can't play small ball and bring that one run home in the bottom
