These guys can barely execute basic baseline hits let alone a drop shot. I'd wager going for shots like that in this match is completely out of the question.

Good for Anderson. Now time for a relaxing ice bath.

Roof is being closed. Djokovic should send a gift basket to Isner and Anderson he is a huge favorite now.

Because most people don't like a match where you can say "If you eliminated their serves, the match would have been four hours shorter". Compelling(ish) from a drama perspective, but not a good display for the sport. At the four hour point, 83% of all points were four shots or less. I suspect that went up in the last two and a half hours. Just not interesting to watch from a tennis perspective. Especially since it held up the real final and forced it into less than ideal conditions.

Joker has had relentless pressure on Nadal's serve and finally gets the break.

Djoker hasn't played this well in 2 years. Does anyone know if they are going to finish this today or will they start again tomorrow if it's not finished in a couple hours?

I'm really glad Novak is back, things have gotten really stale with just Roger and Rafa. Novak adds more intrigue to everything, and for whatever reason fans do not like him, which is obviously good for the sport to have that "bad guy".

Novak is 55-1 when winning the first set at Wimbledon. Guess who the one loss was to?

As I recall Novak retired in that match, so it's a "loss", but he's still never been beaten in three sets after losing the first set. Rafa is at least making a little more noise on Novak's serve, but it feels like Novak can break Rafa every single game, Rafa needs to switch things up on serve.

I love how Rafa and Novak are just going all out for this semifinal. They clearly realize this is the final with a substandard opponent waiting for them on the other side of the draw. Even so, if Novak finds a way to tie this up at 5-5 I feel like the match is his.

Of course these guys know it's the real final, especially with a gassed Kevin Anderson likely forfeiting his return games on Sunday to conserve energy. Sadly with that set win for Nadal, it's gonna be a two day affair. Seems like to be fair though they should keep the roof closed tomorrow, but I suspect not.

The level of tennis has been insane. Nadal has to dig so deep just to hold. What will determine this match is Novak's fitness , how will he hold up as the match goes on.

The funny thing is the organizers put Isner-Anderson first so they could avoid the humiliation of having them play in front of likely 76 fans. And now they've ruined the integrity of this match instead, which will make us hate them more. Really sucks this is going to end in 60 minutes and have to start tomorrow at some unknown time. Just for ####s and giggles, would be awesome to see Serena-Kerber go to 23-21 in the deciding set tomorrow.

Men's match up first tomorrow, and the roof will remain closed. I guess that's probably as fair as can be done

Damn I thought Nadal was going to win that tie break. Going to be a steep hill to climb but he did it against Delpo so it's not impossible.
