I have to say I'm starting to warm up to the idea of Trump winning. Not because it's a good thing because it's obviously far from it, I just think Trump versus Kanye in 2020 has to potential to have the earth swallow itself whole.

Bush appears to be the only sane person on this stage.

The base has made it clear they're tired of sane, they wanna give unhinged a chance.

"So they can kill us, but we can't kill them?". Yup....that might be the shark jumper, Trump now actually advocating killing innocents. Or it's the moment he finally hits 50% in the polls.

Lots of talking without saying anything. And lots of fear mixed in.
Loved how the moderator asked Carson if he was ok with many innocent children getting killed, gets booed. Carson basically says in a nicer way that yes it has to be done, gets a huge applause.
What a gong show. Great TV, terrible for America.

I'd bet on the latter.
I get the distinct sense the Trump-inclined like the idea of killing things.

This would all be pretty hilarious if one of these psychos didn't have a pretty good chance to actually become President.

I don't get the talk about building up the military. Don't they spend more than most countries combined?

And Trump called CNN 'unprofessional'.
That is just so unbelievably rich.

It's rhetoric. And people are genuinely uninformed. I've met people in America (I assume they were just plain Jane racists) who accused Obama of decimating the military budget and turning the American military into pussies.
So the Rep candidates talk about upping the military budget and people lap it up.
Stumbled across this article today regarding the debate. While the Reps debate how to keep America safe, they don't even mention guns. Well, they do three times I suppose:
http://www.vox.com/2015/12/15/102678...te-gun-control
Quote:
"keeping America safe," candidates mentioned guns a total of three times — twice by Ohio Gov. John Kasich, a long-shot moderate, and once by Jeb Bush, when he said, "America is under the gun to lead the free world, to protect our civilized way of life."
