Third google news link that pops up gives away possibly a HUGE spoiler. I don't know what has and hasn't been unveiled yet but I'm ####ing bummed.
What kind of a ####ing ####### puts that in the HEADLINE of his review. #### that guy. I hope he gets ####ing shot in the head

I feel like if anything the original movies are not as good anymore because nothing in them is a surprise anymore. You know that Vader is Luke's father, you know that Leia/Luke are brother and sister, you know Hans/Leia end up together, those surprises were so core to the experience of the movies.
Really the prequel trilogies were bad because they missed on all three of these points, it wasn't that the overall plot/story/dialogue was any worse. Nothing was a surprise because we knew where it was going, none of the new characters were very likable, and the over use of CGI made the movies age really poorly.

It's interesting that you say it's the surprises that made the movie because since the movies came out when I was little I don't actually remember not knowing the Darth Vader was Luke's father. I have always known that.
It has me debating which order to watch the star wars movies with my kids. Do you watch phantom menace not knowing who Anakin and the emperor are or do you go 4,5,1,2,3,6. Which has better flow

Why haven't you gone dark.
No Star Wars anything for me until I see it.

I like the 4,5,1,2,3,6 pattern myself.
The original trilogy are the better movies, and that order leaves all of the intrigue and surprises for those films in tact.

I just wanted to read what the general buzz was. Others have read the early reviews, spoiler free.
I really hope what I read is something that is revealed right away or I might have just ruined the entire movie for myself. I'm so mad.

People who've seen it are ranking in anywhere between #2 (after ESB) -#4 (after ROTJ) among all SW movies.

FWIW, there's a media embargo on everything until Saturday. Or Friday. I think it is Saturday though.
So if you're cruising for spoilers or reviews or anything like that, No internet media site or traditional news sites won't be doing anything until then.
So far the only real way to find the plot or PBP of the movie is on Reddit . So avoid that at all costs if you're hell bent on a fresh viewing of SW.
EDIT: I've read the plot break down. Not going to say anything so fear not. I just have never bought into letting other people or plot leaks affect my viewing experience. It's never changed a thing for me. La dee freaking da right?
Just gonna go pat myself on the back over here in the corner.

It's the first google hit now...and it's definitely not a spoiler. It references an actor's refusal to sign autographs and in on way has anything to do with the characters.

Oh totally. It's amazing how well everything works together, especially when two characters don't even speak in intelligible languages haha. You know the characters motivations and get to see them grow together, its really a remarkable bit of filmmaking and IMO what was most glaringly missing from the prequels.
On another note, anyone who wasn't able to see the originals in theatre probably knew who Luke's father was. It must have been an unreal truth bomb to witness live watching that in the theatre in 1980, I'm kinda jealous. That is why I haven't watched any trailers or read anything about this movie. All I know is the old timers are in it and there's a black guy former storm trooper. It's been extremelely painful to deprive myself of this info for months but its gonna pay huge dividends on saturday, I can't wait.
Edit: And I saw that same link you guys were talking about and was pissed too, but then I saw it had the actors name and not the characters. I was too scared to read the article but it is a relief to hear that it was just about the actor.

Actually I'm pretty sure the review embargo lifts at 12:01 AM on wednesday. It's pretty much open season at that point. The internet will be a very dangerous place for people avoiding plot details in the final day plus.
One thing has been spoiled for me, but it wasn't a big surprise at all, so I'm going into it feeling relatively unspoiled.

I have scoured the internet and read every speculation and spoiler out there. I will say there is a lot of contradictory information so just because you see something it doesn't necessarily mean it is accurate.

Thats true. Could be a well oiled machine of misinformation. If so, thats one epic effort from everyone to keep it under wraps. Theres a couple of plot points that have been consistent throughout so I;ll take those a truth.

I only skim this thread for fear of uncovering some type of hint or spoiler. Never mind actually googling stuff about the new film.
I did the same thing with The Hobbit. But I probably should have googled stuff because that trilogy sucked*.
*The first installment was good. Everything after that was trash.

^ Good.
Given the highly secretive approach by Disney (just watch the 60 minutes video of Abram's guests just trying to record some of John Williams TFA post-crawl soundtrack live, they were confronted immediately, this with no footage even involved) and the extremely high demand for details, I'm willing to bet that since it's been premiered once officially (but to mainly celebs and hollywood folk), that some people that wouldn't have actually had access to such a viewing are fabricating reviews or spoilers for the attention.
I'm relatively confident that even what I heard may be someone taking an educated guess, and not actually what happens.

Now that at least 1,000 people worldwide have seen the movie (between last night's premiere and any other critics' showings), there's definitely a much bigger chance that any spoilers that are circulating now are accurate.
