We witnessed a curious event tonight. About 9:15 pm we observed about a dozen lights travelling from west to east towards Okotoks. They were only about 30 seconds apart, and in a straight line. They blinked out over Okotoks where there was some cloud cover, and we could not follow their path east.
There was a brighter light in the west that remained stationary - we assume that was a helicopter. The lights seemed too close together and numerous to be commercial flights out of the West.
We think it must have been some kind of military exercise?

Maybe. Good theory.

Appearing as a string of bright lights in the sky, Starlink trains can look rather "otherwordly" and have prompted numerous UFO-sighting reports when they first took to the skies. But the long lines of lights are only visible shortly after launch. Once the satellites climb to their operating altitude of 340 miles (550 kilometers) they disperse and are far more difficult to differentiate against the backdrop of stars, though a timelapse photograph will pick them out easier.

Just thought an update on this topic was worth sharing:
The Hill: ‘Aliens,’ or a foreign power? Pentagon UFO chief says someone is in our backyard
Quote:
This week, the director of the U.S. government’s UFO analysis office stated that there is “evidence” of concerning unidentified flying object activity “in our backyard.” According to physicist Seán Kirkpatrick, who heads the congressionally-mandated All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office, this alarming UFO activity can be attributed to one of two extraordinary sources: either a foreign power or “aliens.”
To be sure, the ramifications of either would be significant. But Kirkpatrick’s comments, which come as he is about to retire after a 27-year defense and intelligence-focused career, are more intriguing because he also says that “none” of the hundreds of military UFO reports analyzed by his office recently “have been positively attributed to foreign activities.”
At the same time, Kirkpatrick and senior defense officials have ruled out the possibility that secret U.S. programs or experimental aircraft explain the phenomena.
|
And a surprising admission from Kirkpatrick, as he appears to be stepping away from the position to work for Oak Ridge National Laboratory, which is run by Battelle on behalf of the Department of Energy. According to Chris Mellon, former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and someone who has been at the forefront of this topic in the last few years:

That is a huge admission from a person like Kirkpatrick regarding Grusch's testimony, wow.

I think this is worth a bump, for those still following the topic:
There was a SCIF today involving Congress members and the House Intelligence Committee, to go over the claims made by David Grusch. Sounds like there may have finally been some movement in taking this topic to the next stage.
Here's Congressman Jared Moskowitz with the biggest eye-raising comment:

Here's Congressman Robert Garcia confirming "next steps" (and apparently was also visibly shaken from other reports)

To be fair, Congressmen Eric Burlison and Raja Krishnamo both said it wasn't fully answering their questions or changed their world view, but the SCIF did move the topic forward. So I imagine there is going to be more follow-up around some of these claims. Congressmen Andy Olges also said (paraphrasing here) that the SCIF showed that an American fear of a coverup is true, and that there's been a concerted effort to conceal as much information about this as possible.

This was expected for a few weeks now. The can gets kicked down the road again. The obfuscation of the topic is exhausting

As I've said numerous times in the past, it almost 100% isn't.
But its something/someone. Feels like answers will never come, that's why its frustrating to me.

The answer is right there in the headline though.

Getting frustrated over not knowing military secrets is not really going to get you anywhere. You are asking for an answer you can't have.
