Any recommendations for iPad games for a toddler (1.5 years old)? We will be travelling again and was wondering if there are some time wasting apps that people would recommend.

When my kid was that age he loved the I Hear Ewe app. Basically a sound board of animals and vehicles. Both "There's a Monster at the End of This Book" books and the Thomas Engine Activities are also strong apps, but they might be better suited to a 3 year old (keep those in your back pocket for later).

My kids both loved Monkey Lunchbox but my son, who would have been about that age when we introduced it, needed some help with it until he figured out how to do the various activities.

Anyone else have the new Mailbox (by Orchestra) app yet? I downloaded the app on Thursday, I think, currently, I'm down to only 301000 people in front of me in line, when I think I was at 369000 when I got on the list. There are now 441,000 people behind me in line.

Is there such a thing as an app that will keep my kids from using certain apps, moving my icons around, or accidentally deleting apps?
As an absentee parent, I find giving my phone to my kids an excellent way to keep one of them busy for a few minutes at a time. I have a few games on there they each can enjoy, but they inevitably do something to irritate me. My youngest son has a knack for deleting apps, removing everything from my dock, and creating 12 blank pages you have to swipe through in order to find the GD mail app. Also, he's called some of my co-workers on multiple occasions and exercised horrible phone etiquette during the conversation. He's 17 months old, but that should be no excuse.
I'm guessing I probably have to jailbreak my phone to find something that does the trick. Any suggestions on Cydia or the App Store?

You can turn off deleting apps in the restrictions. Preventing them from moving around apps is harder. My kids used to do that, but it hasn't happened for a long time when I've given my kids my phone. They are 5 and 3 now, I think they've figured out how to use the phone without deleting things.

Ghostbusters just released an update. They promise more balanced game play, a new Stay Puft Marshmallow Man challenge thing, new floors, and new ghosts. Also, there seems like way way more stuff you can spend real money on now including furniture and stuff for the fire house (which gives you boosts of various sorts in the game).

Might want to get on and try to kill Stay Puft, there is good money and rewards to be had.
There are 10 times to kill him and each time the money goes up, the last 2 rewards are power cores and an upgrade.

I've done 2/10 battles so far. Still got 18 hours to go or something.
It's the slime grinding that remains the most painful.

This ghostbustes game is wack. Need 90 slimes for level 6 that could take weeks. Too early for me to pay to get further. I'll give it a few more days.

Just a question for the iPhone experts here.
I have the new one from work, is there a way to charge it without the phone turning on? Thanks.

What I do to charge mine is I plug it in, let it show that it is charging, and then shut it down.

Plants vs. Zombies is the free app of the week. This is a fantastic game normally worth $2.99. There is no excuse now for not having it on your phone.
