3 episodes in and really impressed. Bautista, LaGuerta, Masuka, Deb & Dexter castings are all slam dunks IMO.

Yeah I'm quite liking it as well. A big upgrade from New Blood and the last few seasons. It feels fresh and invigorated, the casting is spot on like others have said. It's almost too uncanny. I like how we'll get to see Dexter "evolve" his method. He hasn't perfected it yet, and is making a ton of mistakes. It's a big step up over seeing Hall wear a wig to prove that he's Dexter's younger self. It was also funny seeing him bring a vegetable tray before changing to donuts. Sarah Michelle Gellar looks great for 47! I wonder what direction they'll go with her character.

I wish they'd show how Dexter is able to fight his victims. I thought Harrison gave him self-defense lessons or trained him in combat sports, as a lab geek straight out of college should be getting beat.

I'm glad we know Dex is "alive" as well. Why hide the fact that they're reversing the course on the finalie of New Blood. Nobody liked how the series ended, so they can bring back Dexter and forget about all that nonsense. For that matter why not bring back Debra? That's what people want, and she never should have been killed off to begin with. They can write off season 8, or say it was a coma fantasy. Don't bring back Harrison either, get back to what worked earlier in the series.

Just do what Roseanne did. "Oh, they won the lottery." "Oh wait, that was a fantasy, actually Dan died of a heart attack!" Then comes the Connors. "Oh wait, Dan didn't die, that was just a book Roseanne's character was writing."

Personally I really enjoyed New Blood and the ending they gave Dexter was satisfying and seemed fitting for the character. I also liked the kid who played Harrison. Dex being still alive is kinda silly and unnecessary. But so be it. I initially didn't want to watch this current show, but they've honestly done an excellent job so far and I'm hooked again. And if the upcoming sequel series is anything as good as what we're seeing with Original Sin, then f*** it. I'm in.

Are they doing some kind of light AI blending from the original cast. There are parts, especially with Dexter where he looks a bit CGI and his eyes or expression look a little too much like the original.

Heh. I didnt think Dexter was alive - this is the 'life flashing before your eyes' thing, exactly as he said it was. I probably missed something?
I liked New Blood also

Watched E2 tonight. What a waste if time, and big disappointment after an excellent first episode. The 40 second recap was too long. Hope E3 gets this story moving again.

This show has no business being this good. wtf.

Strange that a prequel got the quality of execution that was lacking in S8 and New Blood (at least the ending).

While I'm not a fan of the child killer twist and don't buy his motive for doing it, I'm loving this Brian Moser plot line and the connections to the original series.

Been trying to dispose of Deb since the early days...

"Too loud"

Peter Dinklage (I'm going to assume as the villain) joins the cast of Dexter Resurrection.
