It seemed like we got the same refs last year vs Dallas but each series gets a supervisor assigned unless I am mistaken.

Darryl talked about speaking with the supervisor after the refs tried to take over the series making it 4 on 4.

Woodcroft getting the reffing changed is not something that actually happened.

NHL has changed the refs every game.

Spector tweeted about the game four refs because Lee and Kozari have a bad history with Oilers/ Oilers fans and he wanted to rile everyone up.

Kings were 10-1-1 with these refs or something.

Further confirms they had marching orders to grant the Oilers a couple cheapies.

Pretty disgusting. I was ready for LA to bury them after that clean Leon hit when they were breaking the other way. It was a great play to separate d####e from the puck. What an absolute joke that in delayed fashion (because there was no actual infraction) they blow the whistle when the see the Kings about to go extend the lead.

It's decisions like that which meddle with the course of a game.

No. He tweeted about the refs because that's all Oiler fans know - to complain about the refereeing until it goes in their favour then the reffing was, as Woodcroft said, "a well officiated game."
The lack of awareness and arrogance of that club, top to bottom and their fans is truly unbelievable.
To actually bring up accountability and shortcomings of the mighty Oilers is a sin punishable by death or doxing in Oiler land.

Rounds 3 and 4 you will see the same crew more than once.

Rounds 1 and 2 you might see the same crew for games 6 or 7.

They cut refs and lineys after each round.

Fiala's tripping call on Draisaitl was such a weak call, but it wouldn't have been so bad if the refs would have at least called the blatant tripping the Oilers did just before that happened.

This series is obviously still very much up in the air, but that refereeing yesterday was pretty much the standard I've been expecting in Oilers games and why I've been expecting the Oilers to get through a couple of rounds. I'm surprised it actually took until game four to become so obviously unbalanced.

Oilers fan to me today: Well, Doughty clearly was a dive.

Other fan to me: Draisaitl had a stick between his legs.

Frankly however, Korposalo blew it on both Kane and Hyman's shots.

Either LA goalie is better than Edmonton's. Maybe time for some Copley in net just to switch things up/give korpisalo some rest.

Maybe Korp was dealing with some fatigue.

He’s never been very consistent, but can be really good when sharing starting roles. I could see it.

Ha. If we are talking about the same play (mcdavid trips Doughty behind goal line then sets up Drai), no blueliner would dive in that instance. As a defenseman against Mcdavid that close to the goal and the puck being contested, panic level would be at level 10! Last thing crossing your mind would be to dive.

Series over if LA wins that game. And yes, they got shafted on some calls, but Kibgs should have put that game away in the 3rd - and they couldn't. Hope it doesn't come back to bite us all.

The problem I have with it is that Edmonton needs PP help to get back into it, and they were given that.

Keep to the same standard over 60 min. It fluctuating according to the score is stupid.

And at the very least make them earn calls by drawing real penalties. These freebies have to end. It's playoffs.

In general, the refs should by default lean more towards not calling things than calling them. In other words, the infraction should force their hand. That's the way its traditionally been, prior to the last couple seasons.

Apart from the one goal, the Kings dominated the third. I think the Oilers only had something like 2 shots in the first 15 minutes of the period. They didn’t win it, but they played a very strong third period.

630 CHED Coilers host Reid Wilkins on Fan960 right now claiming the Coil "unfairly" lost game three. No mention of the McRef trip on Doughty and the delayed tripping call on Fiala for a body check in game four. Could have easily been 4-1 Kings if called correctly. Apparently those were a fair non call and call. Another friggin’ Coiler homer clown.

Right. Compared to when Draisaitl went down - he was losing the puck and was in bad position anyway.

Campbell had some serious horsheoes early in that period. He kept losing track of the puck but would get shoved right back into him.

I hope they start him.

The amount of Oilers sympathy that our station puts up with from guests is pretty pitiful.

They don't deserve any.

LA needed to shoot higher on him too. There was way too many attempts along the ice that because he would just flop the puck would just hit his pad.
