Yes. He committed to the club long term. Now he wants out of that commitment.
And instead of talking quietly and keeping the matter in house that he wants out of the commitment he decides voluntarily to air his plans in public.
It's one thing to have a self serving agent stirring the dust. It's another to make a conscious decision to do it yourself. It's not as if he got caught with a question out of the blue at a press conference. This is all pre meditated and self serving.

I agree with all of that. But do you think he could realistically leave if he kept it in-house? This is Levy, after all. Kane only has a shot if he does this. I've said it before, it's his own fault because of the stupid contract extension. But if he really wants to leave, he has to do this. I'm not a fan of it either.

the beard might be gone, but the football might actually be watchable now. I'll take that trade.

Just have the next Portuguese guy grow a beard, no one will even notice.

Kinda want them to just get Ronaldo, Bruno, Bernardo and Dias and just be done with it.

I just wish he waited a week, but other than that I get it. Personally, I think that players "leaving to win things" is lame when you've been in the mix for the league and played in three finals. At some point it comes down to the player(s). I don't know...maybe score a goal in one of the three finals?
That said, if someone is dumb enough to spend 100-150m on a guy with obviously dodgy ankles at this age, you bite their hand off and sell high.

Lol!
Chelsea offering Tammy Abraham and....Kepa...plus Cash for Kane.
Yeah...Spurs would love to have Kepa right?

The price for Chelsea should be 250m and no players. The board won't let me type what Levy should say though!
Apparently Kane really wants to play with De Bruyne, so obviously KDB is coming to Tottenham! I'd take him as he's a little better than Winks or Sissoko.

Look at how Ronaldo and bale handled things before going to Madrid, even Modric, there was a ton of speculation the year before they left, but the players didn't make a fuss publicly at all. It turned out each of them had handshake promises of 1 more year and if they still wanted to go they would.
Much better than this, because considering all the circumstances, it's still so unlikely he goes this summer.

That being said, I would sell him now. I'm really surprised he allowed this to be released before Sunday, his team are coordinating this to create the biggest egg on face for the club.
I wouldn't even play him Sunday at this point.
Also the funniest part of the interview was Neville asking kane if he gets mad when 'people' call them bottlers... It's you Gary, you're 'people'

If you're levy it creates a sticky situation, because say they get 120m for him, he has promised the fans that all football revenue gets invested back in the first team. So he needs to spend the money if he sells him this summer, and not in a 'he replaced Elvis with the beatles' way either.
But, every clubs gonna know he has to spend the money, so he's not gonna be able to get good deals, but if this money is not reinvested before the first game, that first crowd next season is gonna be ugly.
If he sells and spends quickly, I think he creates some goodwill for himself
Questions are, has the pandemic made other teams more desperate for funds so they will be easier for him to deal with, and is he willing to 'lose' a few negotiations for the good of the team

There's no way you can play him on Sunday at this point. You leave him out and put Lucas Moura up top (or whoever). I'd sell him, but only if the right offer came in.

United with a ton of rotation today.
Henderson - Williams, Bailly, Tuanzebe, Telles - Matic, van de Beek - James, Mata, Amad - Elanga.
with Shoretire, Fish and Hannibal (who'll hopefully get some minutes) on the bench.
I get that they don't want to risk injuries for the EL final, but given that the team hasn't had any rhythm and momentum lately, it's still a gamble IMO.

Thank god this season is over, and Mason is done. Just a perplexing choice for the team today. Really...you’re playing Kane?! That’s completely ridiculous. Winks in the middle? Just bizarre.
It’s been a train wreck, and I generally look forward to games. I’m going to golfing though and I’ll watch this later to see the carnage. Somehow we’ll finish lower than both West Ham and Arsenal, which is really quite an accomplishment. At least we should avoid the European conference of whatever that third tier is all about.

Whether he wants to leave or not, if he is fit and I were paying him he'd be playing.

second half is going to be fascinating. Chelsea are down 1-0 against Villa, so if Leicester can find a second goal ...

The last day of the season reminds me how much I enjoy every game being played at the same time. They'll obviously never ever ever go back to that on a weekly basis but a man can dream, TV money be damned. Love seeing the live table shifting on Dazn, pity there's not more at stake at the top and bottom.

Yeah, relegation battles are usually really fun, but those teams have been the Walking Dead for weeks now.
