Denis needs to hold serve here just to keep the momentum going.

Edit: Put me down on the jinx list.

Yup and the anti-tennis guys are sneaky cause they will take some chances when you least expect it.

They basically lull you to sleep. But the anti-tennis guys and their rise are why Roger is deified at the level he is. He is the very definition of anti...anti-tennis lol.

That was ballsy, but gotta break him now and get this crowd fired up. Cannot let this go to a breaker.

How about a hold from being down love-40? Could it be the TSN turning point?

I watched the Federer match last night. It was beautiful. The guy is like a surgeon. I was blown away.

The Montreal volleying has unfortunately returned, but still a chance at a break at 30-all.

Shapovalov seems to be missing such easy 'tap-ins' at the net.....he's missed so many of them this match.

Unforced errors:

Shapovalov: 52
Carreno: 28

The match is 7-6, 7-6...Carreno....

wow. that's nuts....take a few of those away and Shapo is up 2 sets. such a thin margin of error.

He's pressing too much, not playing with the kind of freedom we've seen so far this tournament. Perhaps all he needs is to just win one set and he'll find the groove. But I will reiterate he needs a break here, tiebreak is no good.

Crowd is getting engaged, but I agree with the Senator, Denis needs to break rather than see another tie-breaker.

Winners are probably the same ratio.

There was one of those sneaky backhand winners from PCB that Girly alluded to.

Have to say that Carreno is probably overwhelming favourite in this tie-break...Shapo has fallen apart in the 1st two sets...

and I've never seen someone lose 7-6,7-6,7-6......jeeez.

He's a kid, but damn, he can't play tiebreaks at all. Crumbles under pressure...

Losing 19-7 across 3 tiebreaks now....wow.

Well big boourns to that. The only player worth caring about in that revolting bottom half of the draw is gone. Great run, but mighty disappointing end because I really thought he was going to make the final with the draw as ugly and open as it were. Obviously his future appears to be insanely bright, but at the same time as we saw with Genie opportunities can come and go fast, sometimes you gotta cash them cause you never know.

Also #### Andy Murray. If anyone ruined this tournament, it was him not pulling out until after the draw was out even though he knew he wasn't going to play. He wanted to screw Roger and Rafa's draws, and he screwed the whole tournament instead.
