I now understand that this treason position is bubbling up from the left wing echo chambers. Seems like every other comment on Smith's visit to Mar-a-Lago in the left leaning Reddit communities is throwing around treason.

She’s down there with O’Leary who appointed himself to negotiate the terms of annexation, and Jordan Peterson who is leaving Canada himself. She’s never made strong comments about being against the annexation comments. It’s hardly a stretch to see that a conspiracy loving moron would be down there for those reasons.
And the massaging of Trumps fragile ego shouldn’t be a primary concern for our government. I have a lot of reasons I’m glad to see Trudeau go, but honestly I think him hating Trump is hilarious.

I mean PP already embarrassed himself on JP's podcast, but yeah. Loathe as I am to compliment Doug Ford and PP, at least they're actually taking a stance against Trump.
