Is there anything better (traffic wise) than being two cars behind someone at a red light who isn't paying attention so you honk and they get mad and all butthurt at the person in front of you who they thought initiated the honk?

There's definitely better: not having idiots like that on the roads in the first place.

Is there anything more satisfying than when you’re recovering from a cold, and you dislodge a bit of phlegm from your throat, and you realize you’re back to full health.

Sitting on the throne at work with an adjacent cubicle and suddenly realizing that the floor is so polished you can see a little too much reflection into the adjacent cube.
Awkward.

Riding home through Edworthy park, gently coasting realizing it’s busy. Family of 5 spread widely across the paved trail plus doggo on 3m leash all the way over. Several of us approaching on right side of path… ringing bells. Still going slow. Zero response. I gently shake my head as we all veer wide to our far far left and guy sees the head shake and “WHAT THE FARK YOUFARKINGFARKFARK”. I swear the guy had a gross tank top and old cargo shorts so I blame the shorts for his stelllar fatherly example. Maybe someone just needed to tell him to have a good day or say “Jesus loves you”.

My little pal (grandson) might be learning about pet death today/tomorrow and I don't know if I'm ready to see him go through losing his Kitty. I know we all deal with it at some point, but I wish he wasn't going to be learning quite so soon.

He's come to stay overnight while his mom & my son take Kitty to the vet tonight. She's very old, so for the adults, it's something they've known would come sooner rather than later. He knows she's going to the animal doctor and he knows she might not come home. He's wavering between being sad and crying a little and asking lots of questions, mostly to his Auntie, since he knows her last dog died before Xmas.

I wish our pets lived forever...

Before they had the modern milking machines that are used today, dairy farms employed young women to milk the cows. They were called milk maids.

The first vaccine was developed after it was observed that milk maids who had contracted cowpox from the cattle they milked didn't catch smallpox. The pus from their sores was used to infect others and effectively protected those other people from contracting smallpox as well. The word vaccine comes from the Latin word for a cow, vacca.

Thanked because I actually knew that!

For anyone who has been to the new central library, is it worth bringing a 2 and a 4year old to check it out?

Looking g for some indoor air-conditioned ideas for 2 toddlers tomorrow.

Yes, we love it. There is a play area and it is a cool building in general.

Yes. It’s a great spot for children.
