Had he known that they were playing for a turkey, I'm pretty sure Mark Sanchez would've been out of the game by the end of the first half.

I don't think the Jets sucking has anything to do with the culture, the backstabbing or any of those narratives, it's the fact that they don't have a good team. They've given Sanchez zero weapons to work with and their defense is a shell of what it use to be. Mark Sanchez is not a good quarterback but he doesn't even have one offensive weapon to work with. The Jets have a lot of egos on their team but they made 2 AFC Championships with even more egos before. They've just assembled an awful team in New York and it's no wonder they're playing this bad.

That's the play that Sanchez will be remembered for 10 years after his retirement

I personally think the Jets GM Tannenbaum has to wear the goat horns here. He had a lot of malcontents on a team that fell apart at the end of last year and returned a lot of those same players, and did little else to upgrade the teams talent. As they say hard to fly with the Eagles when they surround you with Turkeys....harder when a lot of the Turkeys are a bickering bunch of do do birds.
Yet somehow....the Jets are better than the Chiefs so I'll just shut my trap.

The best part of it is how he's immediately hanging his head in shame when he sees the Patriot pick it up

i dont see how Tannenbaum retains his job at the end of the year, there is a reason why a solid franchise lets a guy like S Holmes leave for only a mid range draft pick. But you cant blame the players for being a bunch of trash talking idiots, they are following the lead of the chief bozo, Rex. Sanchez is by no means elite but give the guy some playmakers and see what happens.

I had to go to a function last night. I saw the TD that put them up 14-0. I drove to the pub and suddenly it's 35-0. In 15 minutes. Wow, what a brutal game by the Jets.

15 minutes? 21 points in 51 seconds!

And Alex Smith has not been cleared to play yet. That is why Kaepernick is still taking 1st teams snaps.
Quote:
The 49ers appear to be in no rush to administer the test for quarterback Alex Smith to receive final medical clearance to be available for Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints.
Smith must pass some form of a "contact test" -- the details of which are unknown -- before he is officially cleared to play. That test could come as early as Friday or after the 49ers arrive in New Orleans.

Although by this point, I almost think they are compelled to play Kaepernick since he has had all the reps this week.

I'm still impressed from a couple years ago when former Super Bowl winning Bucs QB Brad Johnson named his son Maximus. Maximus Johnson, that's classic.

It's pretty insane that arguably the eight best teams in the NFC are playing each other today.
ATL@TB
MIN@CHI
SF@NO
GB@NYG
The NFC is so much more stacked than the AFC right now its not even funny. Its like the 90's again when the NFC was just dominant.

The problem with that is that the top 4 teams in the AFC might be the top 4 teams in the league.
One could make the argument.
