Ok. So if we have the support of a group of wealthy people why can't we get a lawyer? Why doesn't our media working group have a decent budget? Why did the campers winterize their tents with cardboard? And why would a guy with a $10,000 watch not already have a team of lawyers in his pocket? Or at least, I dunno, a phone? Cuz if you are that rich and you have to go door to door to find a lawyer willing to take your money, something is wrong.

Just curious... aside from the obvious tent reference how do you know it was someone from Occupy? And not someone trying to rouse more outrage against Occupy?
Just to be clear, I don't support any form of action intended to make people feel threatened in their own homes. I'm just really curious why anyone would do that when they know its just going to cause more problems for the group.

Because many in your group, although good intentioned, simply aren't that smart.

As mentioned there is other evidence. Police have advised me not to elaborate on that.

All I'm curious about is how they got our HOME address.

Because it makes 100% sense that some idiot from the Occupy movement would do this and about 0 sense that someone from outside the movement would do it to rouse more outrage?
I don't want to go all Occams Razor here but why does it seem that your group seems to always want to go with crazy conspiracy issues when something looks bad on your group rather than admitting the obvious?

Because many people that tend to go towards these stupid causes have dumb senses of value and think that they are hip by spending a ton on a watch while crying about in justices in the world.

How do we know that you're truly supporting the Occupy cause and not someone who is intentionally going on CP and tarnishing the reputation of the Occupy Movement with failing arguments?

I don't think that a wacky conspiracy is needed to rouse more outrage against a group that everyone is sick of.
Its not like the evil 1% really needs to work that hard to make people angry at the Occupyers.

Maybe the Occupy fb group isn't the only one leaking info to the opposition?
For what it's worth I sincerely hope you find out who did this. And if I hear anything I will let you know. If it was someone from our group it won't be hard for me to find out. I do not support idiotic pranks OR people doing stuff that makes my job harder. This falls under both headings.

You should have told them that you didn't consent them putting a tent in your truck.

This just sounds like the same paranoid conspiracy theory stuff people are always ragging on us for. Think for a second... WHY would a rich guy go out of his way to help people who want him to pay more taxes? And if we have that kind of sponsorship why do we not have more influence? It doesn't make any sense.

Not sure what you're trying to say here.

It's intimidation. The police have come back to check on us again and I'm very comforted that they will be in our community tonight. They are taking this very seriously. It goes beyond a "prank".

Well I assume your home address isn't listed in the phone book. I just tried googling it and didn't come up with anything. Therefore the individual(s) who did this:
a) already knew your home address or,
b) got that information from someone who did know.
So who knows where you live? And dislikes you enough to facilitate something like this? I'm not saying tell me, I'm saying think about it because it may lead you to the answer.
Years ago I lived in a house that had a little trick you could use to get in if you forgot your keys. Someone broke in using this trick. I considered the list of people who knew about the trick and narrowed this list further to one guy who used to live there that had a problem with me and was crazy enough to do something like that. I never could prove it legally but I knew who not to trust after that.

Cory and I have been very careful with who has our information. Only friends and family know where we live. The last time we moved we took out a mailbox and have used that for any public documents.
Frankly, even the people who "dislike" us wouldn't go to this extent.

I originally thought someone had an erection (pitched a tent) in First Lady's backyard, and so I immediately suspected Rerun.

Well evidently someone would, because someone did. How would any private individual, Occupy participant or not, get hold of your address which you have been understandably careful about disclosing? Logic dictates the tent was placed there by either someone you know, or someone who was given that info by someone you know. So if I were you I would be asking serious questions of the people who know where you live and go from there.
Look, I'd be freaked out too. I don't think that pitching a tent and planting "stuff" in someone else's truck is right at all, which is why I am taking an interest in this and questioning the people I know about it. The question of whether it was from someone from Occupy or not is a lot less important than how they got your address in the first place.
I'm not surprised to learn that your husband at least has an enemy willing to go to some trouble to upset him. However I am surprised that they could get their hands on carefully guarded personal information without having obtained it from someone who had access to it. The question I would be asking at this point is who might that be?

Or someone followed him home from downtown after he visited your camp.

Is it DNA evidence from someone pooping in the back of Cory's truck?
