Bastion and Rayman Jungle Run are both currently on for 99 cents, and both are universal apps!

I picked up Fifa13, Bastion, and Rayman Jungle Run all for 0.99 each!

Adult Swim Games Super Monsters Ate My Condo and Amateur Surgeon 2 were free for the holidays yesterday. I believe they still are. SMAMC is good times.

I've been playing Pocket Frogs quite a bit lately. I just picked it up because Nimble Bit was doing daily in-game Christmas giveaways for Pocket Planes, Tiny Towers and Pocket Frogs. Given that I like the other two, I figured I would give this one a try.

There really isn't too much to it. You have frogs, you hop around the pond eating flies and breed with other frogs. The game is simple, but there is a bit of strategy in how to use potions and stamps efficiently (the two premium currencies to speed up tasks).

There are lots of tasks to do, and I am sure it will take quite a while to get them all done.

I tried looking up just "flow" in the iTunes store and it came back with a billion different apps, but nothing just called "Flow". What company makes it? Maybe that will narrow it down.

I know this is "Must Have Apps"...but please, save yourself the trouble and don't buy Final Fantasy All The Bravest. Yikes...Square Enix really mailing it in now.

Yeah, I saw that and was, all, "WTF?!?!"

SE is such a mess. Which is sad since they created some of the greatest games I can remember.

For those that go to the library, Calgary Public Library has an app out now. It let's you do a few things, including renewing materials, and stays logged in (instead of having to pull out your library card for the card number like on the website)

Try Flow Free and it should be the first one by Big Duck Games. You can upgrade but the free version has like 100+ levels. Very easy to start and gets harder as you go.

FYI for those like me who could not play baldur's gate due the incredible number of bugs and poor controls, they have released a new version. Hopefully it makes it at least playable.

Anyone play the new Ghostbusters game from Beeline? It is available for free but operates on the freemium model.

I found the first few levels to be really entertaining, being a big Ghostbusters fan and all. However, the game quickly turns into a monotonous grindfest. The only way to slightly speed things up is to use real world money to purchase power cores, but even then that doesn't help you acquire slime (this must sound really dumb if you aren't familiar with the game).

I'm on floor seven (of theoretically 50) and the game has almost reached the point where I cannot stand to continue the grind. Hopefully the play can be tweaked and better balanced soon. Worth a try though for the first few levels at least.

I got it as well. My kids play it and they're really frustrated by how little they're able to play before having to wait to "recharge". I'm not about to pay for in-game stuff like that for them.

It throws a "bad device time" error and won't let you play.

You need 400 slime to access and take on the floor 6 boss. Then you need 1000 slime to take on floor 7. There are six places I can "bust" ghosts but each cost 20 energy. The hard levels pay a max of 20 slime if you're successful (but they often kick my ass), mediums pay 14 or less. Energy recovers at a rate of 1 unit per 36 seconds. Do the math. It'll take forever to get to level 7.

And your guys need a manual to advance from level 5 to 10. There are three classes of busters, three manuals. You get the first manual after floor six and another presumably after floor 7. There is a buttload of grinding to do stuck at level 5 for my guys.

You can research new equipment and powers but it takes time and money to complete the research. You can speed it up using power cores but you only get 2 power cores for every floor you beat. Takes real money to speed this stuff up and in not keen on paying for that stuff.

The game is fun but the pacing is ridiculous.

Edit: I just put the time back to normal. Egon said that by his calculations I was attempting to mess with space and time to speed up my research. Venkman then warned that if it happened again they would reduce my weapon power to 1 for one minute of battle. Then they took away the last little bit of energy I did have. Crud.
