Liverpool throwing a party and a parade yesterday on the anniversary of the Heysel Stadium disaster was a stupid decision on their part.
Just no sense and classless from that organization.

But!
Credit where credit is due. They're not going to sit back and let UEFA and the French authorities whitewash and blame them for the events of Saturday night.
UEFA picked on the wrong club here. This is a battle hardened club with respect to ensuring the truth comes out when fans are wrongly blamed.

In regard to the comments, we were in complete disbelief when we were made aware of them earlier today. I think it’s important that folks know that our chairman, Tom Werner, sent a letter to the French minister to articulate our views and is calling for an apology to our fans for those comments.

gotta feel for Derby County and their fans. The takeover by Chris Kirchners group has collapsed, so they are back at square one ... they have to find a new buyer quickly, as the new season starts on July 30 and, as things stand, Rooney has a total of 5 (FIVE!!!) players under contract to work with. They can't sign players as long as the club is under administration, so ... not ideal.

that's an insane price tag for a striker who's had all but one good season in Portugal. But the striker market is desperate, and, knowing my luck, he'll be killing it for the Scouse.

Yeah, its reportedly €75M plus €25M in add-ons, the market is insane and hopefully Sadio Mane will cover a chunk of it.
That being said, look at Salah, Mane, Firmino, Jota and Diaz...every attacking player that comes through Liverpool elevates their game and I really have no reason to doubt the Liverpool scouting staff at this point.

If you guys are paying $100m for him, selling Kane wouldn't be tough!

Younger, faster, better haircut, less English and scored more goals in fewer games.
If Darwin is worth €100m then Kane is worth maybe €20.

Kane isn't getting any younger, no question on that. But the thing is, we pretty much know he'll score his goals and get his assists this season. The jury isn't in on young Mr. Nunez at this point. And better haircut? He and Dominic Calvert-Lewin might have the same barber...I'd think that's a minus for you?

Kane looks like his mom cuts his hair.
Which, on his paltry wages, she might well have to!

Dumb, dumb idea. And I'm really not sold on the 5 subs change either. I know why some clubs want it, and I know exactly why Klopp wants it.
It would be a huge advantage for teams like City and Liverpool to be able to completely change/rest their entire attack when a game is won and still have a couple subs left, or completely re-do a midfield and still have subs.
But that would kill the smaller teams and just make the gap wider.
I further understand the appeal of the 5 subs, I get that you have to rest/rotate/protect players, but the answer to that isnt more subs, its fewer matches. How many matches did Elite players play last season?
How many matches did Mo Salah play between going to the end of every domestic and European competition and AFCON?
Scrap this bogus Nation's League buffoonery and all of these side-tournaments, they are over-saturating international matches.

Well, the real change they should be making is mentioned in that article. It's making the clock stop-time when the ball is out of play. If a guy wants to roll around for a minute or two, or goalies are taking forever for goal kicks, that's fine, but it won't give an advantage to do that.

Only thing is that in today's age, we're trying to shorten games not lengthen them. Soccer is in a sweet spot at 2 hours, not too much of a time commitment. Soccer isn't so action packed that we need to make it over 3 hours. However, refs need to just add more time for time wasting.

Yeah, but if there was no advantage to be gained I think we'd see a lot less time wasting. Take goal kicks. What's the point of kicking your boots off and waving your players forward and all that if the clock is stopped anyway?
