That team should be so much better than they are.

The difference is that there are people who care about the Browns and they are heart broken.

The Chargers....nobody does, they just flail about as a Franchise that exists, but in the grand scheme...nobody cares.

Ha ha suck on it Spanos.

SoFi stadium seats 70k. I'm interested in seeing how many people show up for Chargers games as they aren't even selling out the little field they play in now. Could be a bad look for the NFL.

not a bad thing as i would like to see a game at the new stadium and might get tickets at a more reasonable price. The Chargers are such a terrible franchise, hard to be a fan. They should already have a successor in place for Rivers, not sure what they are waiting for

It is nothing short of a miracle that the Cowboys have a shot at the playoffs still. It is almost too bad because Jason Garrett needs to go ( and of course he won't because he is a yes man, and Jerry keeps yes men). Either way won't make much a difference, Cowboys make the playoffs, lose in the first round, another cycle around the sun.

So apparently JJ Watt could return for the playoffs. That would be nice.

Foles has been benched for the remainder of the season. He was always a risky signing because it seems like he's only thrived in an Andy Reid offense. They can't cut or trade him without incurring big cap penalties because of the salary cap implications of guaranteeing him so much of that contract.

Nick Foles is fine and there are a lot of teams who could benefit from having him on their team. The Jags aren't making the playoffs. They need to figure out what they have in Minshew and let Foles rest, pick it up next year.

Cleveland Browns: This wasn’t a loss, it was a disaster

https://www.cleveland.com/browns/201...-disaster.html

Quote:
I’m tired of writing stories like this, stories about how the Browns lost to the Steelers in Pittsburgh.

Only this one – Sunday’s 20-13 verdict at Heinz Field – is different.

This one is not the usual theme of Pittsburgh having the superior team.

The Steelers don’t. Not this time. Not this year.

But the Steelers have the better coaching staff. They have the more mature players. They have a team that is used to winning, even with undrafted rookie and former No. 3 QB Devlin “Duck” Hodges starting at quarterback.

The Browns lost to a Steeler team without its star QB (Ben Roethlisbeger), best wide receiver (JuJu Smith-Schuster), top running back (James Conner) and Pro Bowl center Maurkice Pouncey (suspended).

Pittsburgh coach Mike Tomlin. “We wanted to show we could win without some key people. I’m proud of winning under the circumstances we were under."

Too bad the Browns couldn’t say the same thing about their team.

I for one owe Mike Tomlin a big fat apology, the job he's done this year is simply amazing. It won't be his most successful season in terms of the record, but I think it's easily his best season as a head coach. To get to 7-5 after starting 1-4 and with all those injuries ... hats off.

They also played the Ravens very close and could have won if JuJu doesn’t fumble.

How that team got to 7 wins amazes me , let alone being 7-5

49ers game too. Had a late lead and then Conner fumbled it away. Saved by Vinatieri against the Colts though.

I didn't like how he was letting things go when Bell, AB, and Big Ben were in the locker room but he's shown this year he's one of the better coaches in the league as I don't know how they are doing it with all the injuries and lack of talent on offense.

As a backup QB for sure but he's never shown he can start for any franchise outside of the Eagles.

Foles contract makes him hard to move to someone who doesn't have a ton of cap space and I can't imagine the Jags wanna take salary back. So that doesn't leave many of the near contenders who could benefit from league average QB play. He's much easier to trade at the deadline next year when injuries have occurred and his guarantees are up. For now the Jags are more or less stuck with him. I don't even think it's about figuring out what they have in Minshew, he's pretty clearly got the ability to be a competent NFL starter and maybe more. Either way it's gonna be a crazy QB offseason, half the league could have new starters next year.

Apparently 8 Seahawks got the flu this week. Hope they play like the Pats did last night.

9 of 11 Seahawks games have been decided by 8 points or less. Should be a close one.
