I can't believe you got it for that price. That's a steal.

When I saw Bartschi play against OKC in Abbotsford, you could tell he was a cut above the rest of the Heat. His hands, speed and vision were on par with the OKC Baron top prospects.
This is coming from an unbelievably bitter Canucks fan.

The kid hasn't done much to impress since the first game of the season. I don't recall him developing much plays, and moreso leads to the other team getting the puck back if anything. For being a creative playmaker, he's not playing like one.
Sven really needs to step it up, otherwise should get sent back to the A. He's not ready yet.

The Sven-mania has certainly subsided in this City. That's for sure.

Not sure if he's healthy or not but he looks damn slow, and his only play is to chip it deep, over, and over, and over.
Hopefully he gets back to his game soon.

Players always take a while to find their game post-injury. Unless your name is Kesler.

and it doesn't help that he is on the 4th line playing with grinders and not very skilled players

Hes not strong enough yet. I dončt think he has the time and space he is use to in lower leagues and might need to bulk up a bit in order to get it.

he was injured for basically the month of Dec. Came back for two games, with limited minutes. Then the strike ended and he joined the Flames.
Played 3 games and was getting reasonable icetime. Then got hurt again. Since coming back, he has been getting very limited minutes.
Doing a quick guesstimate, I would say that he has been on the ice for maybe 60 - 80 minutes since November.
There is no way he is going to get it going again with 4 - 6 minutes a night. He needs to go to Abby and play 20 minutes a night with primary PP time for a couple of weeks (at least). He needs the puck on his stick.
The Flames have enough wingers for now anyways.

I'm quite embarrassed the way the team is handling him. Niederreiter-esque.

I mean this in the nicest way, but they really need to send him back to the AHL and continue his development down there.
The leafs would have ruined Kadri if they left him with the big club, I see Sven taking a similar route.

Yeah there is still plenty of season yet but so far it looks like it might have been good to get a full year in the A. Despite being the guy most of us probably watch the most i have not seen probably a single bit of sustained pressure or even puck possesion in the o zone hes made since a game two in. (but i have definitely not watched these wild/coyote/etc games very closely uggh.
Not sure if it is linemates or what cause he has been out with a variety. I see the chip in, i see him go to the front of the net but the team loses possesion and its out, etc. not sure what needs to change and who knows he could put it together in a game or two well see.
