That error message used to come up occasionally, but now it's every time. You have to unplug and replug in the phones five or six times until they magically just start working. It seems to have gotten worse since the latest software upgrade a couple weeks ago.
Anybody else having this problem?

I get that occasionally with my car adapter, but it's just a warning. It asks if you want to go into Airplane Mode I believe. I just say "no" then continue on.

I've seen the message you're talking about, but this one is different. The only option I have is to press "dismiss". When this message comes up, it won't play music through the stereos...the stereos are inoperative. I have to retry plugging them in over and over until it finally works. Two different phones, three different accessories.

I want to jailbreak my IP4 for wifi tethering but I'm terrified that I will brick my phone. We just got 64gb iPad2 non 3g and I want to be able to tether it without paying $20/mo

There is no way that jailbreaking can brick your iPhone. Unlocking is more complicated, but jailbreaking is simply a software mod.

I'm confused are you not talking about the Wifi hotspot that is part of the OS or something else?

Unless your carrier has blocked that functionality.

Wasn't there a story about AT&T being able to tell who's using the hotspot feature and downgrading their plan as a result? I think that only matters if you have one of the old unlimited plans.

So what's the deal with the 5? Is it a huge upgrade from the 4?

How does trade ins work with Telus?
I have a HTC but its starting to crap out so I'm thinking of swapping over to an Iphone. Also should I wait until the Iphone 5 is announced before I trade it in or would I be safe doing it this week without it dropping 100$

So finally got around to taking my phone to Apple for this problem yesterday. A couple of the pins were bent at the charger/docking input and there was some corrosion there as well. They swapped my phone out for a refurbished one. Pretty awesome because my battery was getting pretty crappy and it had a few nicks and scratches. This refurbished one looks brand new. Very happy with Apple for providing such great service.

Apple sucks. They should have given you a brand new phone not a refurbished one.
