It is a testing aircraft, so they've just decided to make the flight plan for this test run in that "12th Man" pattern.
I see that. I was unaware that it was a scheduled test that was going to be flying today. Presumably the usual test routings are less irritating for ATC.

According to the 787 blog, Air Canada's first 787 (fin 801) has rolled out and is being prepared for flight, assembly has begun on fin 802, and parts are arriving for fin 803. All GEnx powered, of course.
