Was the crown not screwed down sufficiently? Or fault with the helium escape valve? (Unscrewed, it's only water tight to 5 bar.)

Any recommendations for generic bracelets? I swear I found one years ago via watchuseek, but I don't think most are around anymore.

I have one from Uncle Seiko for my Speedmaster and like it.
I've heard good things about Forstner as well.

I thought they were both screwed down, I think. Helium for sure was because I unscrewed it. Maybe the Crown wasn't tight?
Had showered with it the day before though.

Regardless, it clearly needed to be serviced.

Has anyone bought anything from Jomashop before? There's a new nice looking Longines I may want to purchase and send to a cousins house to either pick up or have them forward it to me. No interest in paying the silly duties if purchase through them and shipped here directly. Experiences with Jomashop and if they're quality?

I've never used them, but my understanding is that they're not always the cheapest, it's either good with the occasional snafu but overall a decent option. I dunno what you mean by quality, IIRC, Jomashop is a reseller of grey market and used, kinda like Chrono24.

I've never had issues with Chrono24. Is there an equivalent Longines on that website?

I wish. I did a google search and didn’t come across a retailer in the same stratosphere. Chrono24 seemed to have it for a few hundred more. I’m Jomashop’s case it’s brand new.

You should reach out to Justin at Gem by Carati, as his store carries Longines, and perhaps he might be able to give you a CP discount.

What Longines watch is this? I know Jomashop occasionally gets stuff that's a special order, but odd it would be something that isn't relatively readily available elsewhere.

Not really worth a shot. That's just putting a local small business owner in a ####ty position.

For awhile, I wanted to be a normie and was totally hyping myself to get a Rolex. But it's starting to rub me the wrong way how Rolex basically is branding themselves as it's a privilege buy their watches. It's like i have to beg them to take my money doing the whole song and dance with Rolex AD's.

Decided to just say screw it and get myself a Cartier Santos. There's just something nice about buying something that's available and I don't have to do any waitlisting or sucking up to a dealer to get one.

Yeah. I wrote to him but honestly that’s asking too much. Outside chance but it’s tough to match something like that.

I've bought a Tissot from Jomashop. They're legit and fine to deal with. You just get no warranty on the watch.

If the savings are high enough to offset a servicing if needed, then go for it.

It’s brand new so servicing shouldn’t be needed. I’m holding off a little until I get news of a new position, as I want the watch to be an award for starting anew.

In the ongoing quest for a watch I also came across this one on the budget side. Beautiful.

edit; SOLD - If anyone is interested in a Seiko SSB403 new in the box I one for sale. Would let it go for $150+shipping for a cp member. Nice watch just doesn’t suit me.

Sorry, this was a while ago already. Did you get the watch? If not, do you want to take a look at mine? I'm not selling since it was a gift from my wife, but you can have a look at it if you like.

Any Zenith owners in here?
I'm considering some trades and adding the Chronomaster Sport to my collection.

I have one - it was my first "real" watch. I don't wear it as much as some of my others these days, but it's still a treat when I do wear it.
