Felix is slated to be back in action next week in Halle and will take on Dominic Thiem in his opening round match. Shapo is also in Halle and will face Lloyd Harris. If both Felix and Shapo win their opening round matches, they will square off in round 2.
Really good match between Tiafoe and Struff in Stuttgart right now as Big Foe prevails in three sets winning the 3rd set tie-break 10-8. Frances breaks into the top 10 for the first time in his career.

Sometimes I forget that Shapo made the semis at Wimbledon and gave Djokovic all he could handle and could have won that match.
I think grass plays right into Shapo's hands, points are shorter so it doesn't test his patience as much as clay and he does also possess the weapons (big serve and forehand) that enable him to put his opponent on defense. If he can stay away from double digit double faults (he had 5 today), he can be dangerous.

The other thing to keep in mind is that Kyrgios pulled out of the Halle tourney earlier today and hasn't played any matches of real significance in 2023. If Shapo can pull his game out of the doldrums in the summer of 2023, did he get pegged by Johnny Mac to represent Team World for the Laver Cup in Vancouver?
