Well that's great for Felix, but the real question being answered this morning is, can Nadal escape from Chuck Jail?!
(Is it working? Am I making Chuck Jail happen?)

Charlie off and running with a break of the Rafa serve in the opening game.
Edit: And then Rafa breaks right back - Settle in with a nice cup of coffee, folks.

Yeah, whether it's the hand or a leg strain (or both), Charlie is struggling out there.
Edit: Holds serve to start set 3 though

The script has flipped in set 3. Now Rafa is the one struggling.

Rafa now standing inside the gates of Chuck Jail, trying to get out... but there are guards, and they look angry.
Edit: good lord he almost hit that into the stands... well he's not tentative in a big service game that's for sure.

Good for Alcaraz. His match tomorrow against Djokovic is going to be great as well, hopefully he or Felix can win the title.

What a match point... I hope the crowd cheering early didn't throw off Nadal as he should have put that last one away. But the winner was amazing.
No one escapes from Chuck Jail... not even the great ones.

Alcaraz had 37 winners to Nadal's 10. On a clay court. In Madrid where Rafa has lifted the trophy 5 times previously.

One thing's for sure, Charlie is going to ensure that the other young guys on tour raise the level of their respective games in order to compete for the major trophies. That is nothing but good news for tennis fans.

Charlie is incredible -- what a treat it would be to have him become the next big star after the big 3 retire. Being a Nadal fan as long as I have, it's just natural to have another spaniard as my favorite going forward...

Basically he prefers to be called Carlitos or Charlie, so we've chosen Charlie.
