What a crazy story. How does one become so unhinged via argument that they slit the throats of their 78 year old father and his wife?
I asked myself that question again for the millionth time, It was only 7 years ago that my friend Al Pennylegion and his wife were murdered by Al's stepson who had also murdered his girlfriend a week earlier. Reading about this gave me flashbacks to the day I found out that al had been murdered.
Who knows, it might have been drugs, or a mental illness that effected Reiners son, but its no excuse for taking a human life.
Its sad and tragic when you think that someone that you raised, and cuddled as a baby and bandaged their knees and celebrated their birthday could become a monster capable of a murder like this.
I might not have agreed with Reiner politically, it doesn't matter, Reiner contributed some classic movies and smiles to the world. Princess Bride is always available to me after a rough week.

To add to the unreal and devestating nature of the Reiner’s homicide, sounds like Billy Crystal and his wife saw the deceased couple and the scene before the police arrived. Apparently Reiner’s daughter called the Crystals immediately after notifying the police and they rushed over in a panic. Seems to suggest the Crystals and Reiners were pretty darn close.

I heard he's on suicide watch. They better not let him do that. You should need to live with what you did in your stupor. Force him to stare at dead bodies of his parents for a week while feeding him and he withdraws. Like Se7en.
Facebook is a cesspool. Says Reiner’s kid got into it with bill hader at Conan’s. Seems like horse crap and doesn’t really matter but …… probably tabloid nonsense.

The Theatrical release and the first your of Buck Rogers was pretty decent but filled with a maximum amount of early 80's cheese. Then they rebooted it in the second year and it was just bizarrely different and awful.
Gil Gerard was great in the role, but suppossedly a tyrant back stage.
It still had one of the best opening themes on TV at the time. I was thinking about how good it was the other day.
The movie opening theme would never be made today though
