Exactly. She beat one seeded player the entire way to the finals. Countless female athletes have come back to a high level post child birth as well....There's grandstanding and then there's complete lunacy.

Annnnd of course he does, goddamn it. No doubt these two are CIA operatives who have been sent to torture us. I'm actually so pissed at Roger right now for giving us this disgrace, not cool. Anderson should be defaulted for choking that away.

I'm not feeling good about that reverse jinx, Senator.

It's all good, Roger still should have closed that thing out. It's just a tragedy that this is a real major SF, men's game in just as much trouble as the women's game.

I've found Serena more endearing since she had a baby. I have no idea why because I'm not a parent myself, so it's not like I can relate. But something about her being a mom has matured her.

However, I can't get on board with Pam's commentary here. Come on. If we're going to talk about tennis mothering comebacks, how about Kim Clijsters returning after having her daughter and winning the US Open (back-to-back, too!)?

When it gets later in tournaments as the TSN coverage switches over the ESPN I turn it off. I don't need them fawning over Serena all the time and I don't need senile Cliff Drysdale talking to me like I'm 5. The absolute worst.

I know her run at Wimbledon ended early, but Petra Kvitova came back from a devastating hand injury during a home invasion 18 months ago and has won five WTA tournaments in 2018. That's a pretty amazing comeback in my book.

There's a long list of women (and men) that have done incredible things in sport after severe injury, long layoffs or pregnancy. To make this out to be one of the greatest feats ever is grandstanding that is bordering on embarrassing.

There has been some pretty nice shot making in this 3rd set tie-breaker.

Anderson has nine unforced errors in this match, and he's probably gonna have to play at least 3 more hours to win. I suspect (hope/pray) he folds quickly here in the fourth to end this.

Edit: Yeah, drag this out some more you ####ers.

Well no way Anderson wins this, he just can't stop choking. How did Roger lose to this guy?

i think this match ends in the next 10 minutes.

And I think Djokovic is going to work Nadal. Novak has been getting very pissed off at fans and officials this tournament and I swear that he plays his best when he feels like the villain. The insane run he had from 2015-16 took a lot out of him physically and mentally but he looks to be back now.

They should have just decided this match with a coin flip 2 hours ago. Tennis at its worst.

Well Nadal is praying this ends quick, if that match starts after 6:30pm local they have to close the roof so it stays that way the whole match since it's doubtful it can finish in time. I also agree about Novak, and I'd argue Villain Novak is the most unbeatable player ever. When he's pissed, he rolls.
