Hall was eventually dealt to New Jersey for defenseman Adam Larsson.

HAHA, stupid Oilers!

Also, Arizona the November team?

Elliotte Friedman ‏@FriedgeHNIC
ARIZ also had permission to talk to Shattenkirk at one point early this season, but a contract could not be worked out.
Sucks for the Blues but Sattenkirk has eyes for only one team and that's the Rangers. He's not going to accept any trades that involve signing a contract unless it's to the Rangers.

Tkachuk has an element to his game that this team has been missing for over a decade (re: Nieminen). We need everything he brings to the table, Duchene plays with the edge of a rolled up playdough ball compared to Tkachuk.

McKenzie guessing (he was clear to say it was a guess) Johnson was going the other way.

If Tampa is considering moving Johnson it would be amazing to pull off a blockbuster for Johnson and Bishop. Shift Bennett to the wing and we would be stacked in our top 9

You usually to give something in a trade as well. I could be wrong on that.

Versteeg and Bartkowski, but it has to happen now to make sense.

I would trade any combo of picks and prospects to make it happen. 1st round picks, any and all prospects on the table. I would just not want to trade the core players. Doubt the deal would get done but there are more assets than Sam Bennett we can trade

I just can't believe a team would want Wideman. It has to be something like the David Jones deal from last year right? We can't actually be getting something good for Dennis Wideman right?

Even if there is truly nothing to "the Wideman effect", I can't believe a GM would be willing to risk the chance there is something to it while heading into the playoffs.. could you imagine losing a Stanley cup final game 7 due to a phantom call on Wideman?

That's the fun of the Wideman effect! Its not Wideman that's getting the calls, its the team that gets punished. So the phantom call could come against anyone on the team and you'd never really know if it was due to Wideman being on your roster or not.

The effect has already dwindled since the meeting with the NHL

Do we even know when the meeting was? Was it recent or did it happen a while ago but only came to light recently? I can't recall

Kerr on 960 says he believes the Flames are going hard after a forward.

I really think it is Evander Kane. He is all of a sudden having a great season but has had some off-ice issues hasn't he? Maybe Buffalo is looking to sell high. I would not mind Kane at all and would really like to see him on a line with Tkachuk and Bennett.

Tkachuk-Bennett-Kane --> That would be a hard to play against line especially if Bennett brings his "mean" game back.

Pretty sure Tkachuk isn't leaving his line
